Basically someone with no life lots of time on his/her/its hands (or possibly a rotating roster of someones) links to the day's posts with a pithy tagline. It makes it *very* handy to keep up with everything.

It might be part of the school newspaper...?

Also, there might be people who read but don't necessarily want to play who might be crazy interested enough to do this.

Over at Milliways, we have a daily summary community where people leave links and brief summaries of their daily events in the comments section of a given day's entry. The maintainer would then add it to the entry itself. *shrugs*
