I'm placing the events of the musical about 3-5 years in Mark's past. He did some TV work, tried to make a movie, tried to get his documentary released, burned himself out, and took a nice infusion of cash from his folks and Collins to buy and renovate a small disused movie theater. Kind of like the "Santa Fe" plan, only on his own.

Oh, and I'm setting him in present-day because I think that's what Jonathan Larson meant, dammit, even if they did decide to set the film in 1988 or whatever.

Rob's here about a year after the events in High Fidelity. He and Laura have split up again, amicably this time, and he's moved his operations to Fandom Town or whatever we're calling it. So, he's single, twice the age of the students, and still the nicest asshole you've ever met.

Aziraphale is here at some vague point following the Apocolypse That Wasn't. He will be very happy to have pleasant conversations with any of the students, faculty, and/or townies, all the while stearing them subtly in the direction of "doing nice things."
