(no subject)

Not really a questions so much as an observation with soliciation for comments, based mainly on the fact that the OCD part of my personality is freaking out: I'm assuming that either there's a bank nearby town, or that money in the Fandom High universe is fluid (credit slips change into dollars which change into drachmas which change into bars of atinum, etc.). I t think it's actually really amusing to "live" in a place where you can buy a hand of glory but not a frying pan.

Or groceries. Alanna is whinning that she can't buy fruit. Loudly too.

If I need anything I'm claiming Paige ordered it online! :)

I've been wondering about this too, and actually think we may have a banker townie coming on board soon. If I can convince her just a little more.

I don't see why it can't exist in shadow until someone comes along and makes an official spot for it.

We do have to eat...

Well, it could be possible to buy a frying pan from The Old Firm. You'd just have to get over the "Property of Ed Gein" label on the handle.

But seriously, yeah, until someone breaks down and establishes some sort of general stores, I think it is safe to just "assume" things are available.

Actually, I checked the Townie sign-up. As soon as they're approved, it looks like Debbie Novotny is opening a vintage clothing store and cafe, and her son is opening a general store.

My first thought was Leland Gaunt.

No, it isn't good for people... and if you hadn't noticed... The Old Firm is currently hiring, heh.

I just remembered we do technically have a convenience store, the Kwik Stop, for some basic needs.

As for a more general shop, I could see Cutting Me Own Throat Dibbler from Discworld trying to sell anything. You could also do Shaun from Shaun of the Dead, given his history in retail.

You know what I'm really surprised is missing? A pizza place. How many high school students, and there's no pizza delivery?

We can't have Shaun, Paige would have to sleep with him and I'm losing track! ;) (actually I know a lot of people, me included would love to have him here)

OMG, Dibbler, Please, the idea cracks me up! I want to see him selling questionable sausages at the Homecoming. And interacting with Lenny and Mike and Jay and Silent Bob. But then we would need Carrot and Vimes... oh hell... I need to find a DiscRPG don't I? *sigh*
