Well, there's the traumatic backstory, nearly twenty years worth of emotional repression, the tendency of people I have feelings for to die horribly which leaves me very worried for my girlfriend and boyfriend in the season finale, and I just really don't see the need for all this rigmarole when it's as simple as making it clear you're interested with tongue.
