I'm very scared of it. Either most sorceresses do go evil, or the ones that go evil are the ones you hear about and the rest just hide. I don't even know how many there are. But when I ... use my powers, I feel alive and dangerous and like every inch of me is tingling, and when I put them away again, some small part of me doesn't want to. Wants to just use all that power and do whatever I want.

I like to think I'm a nice person, so that part of me is really, really horrifying.

Is your dad anything like you expected? Do you think you'll have more compassion for some of the other stuff you'll find out later, having met him here?
