BDE - Exit Post
As of that last post, THE BDE IS OVER
The island is mostly back to itself. That nasty fog has cleared up, the trees in the preserve look much healthier, and all of the lingering bits of poison will work themselves out over the next few / several days. The same goes for anyone at the clinic -- the second the sapling was uprooted, your character would have taken a noticeable upswing. (Details left to the players, obvs, and warm hugs go a long way. GO HUG THE PRESERVE, EVERYONE.)
THANK YOUS: This whole BDE is Shannon's fault, because we spent a two-hour car ride talking about my one insane if-I-ever-ran-a-BDE-it'd-be... idea, and then starting scribbling notes. She also co-ran the thing with me top-to-bottom, kept me from going insane, NPC'd Leland about half the time, and in general was amazing as shit. Special thanks also go out to Erin, who helped us hammer this into a recognizable shape and brainstormed lovely creative shinies and potential pitfalls with us, and Noah, who contributed some faboo ideas and coded like a boss. And to everyone who played in it, because you guys took the ideas and just ran with them to some incredible places. (And to everyone who had to play around it -- sorry! It's over, I promise!)
Now to retire this account and BURN IT WITH FIRE. And then take a nap.
