INVASION ANNOUNCEMENT!
Hello, folks! To keep the retro-fun going, tomorrow the island is going to say HI to all its returning ex-citizens with an INVASION! Of a kind, anyway.
A very rare form of the zombie plaaaaaaaaaaague will be spreading across the island's gremlins, courtesy of a bored Ingvar Islet playing with some of mommy's old spells. This plaaaaaaaaague is temporary, but it'll cause the gremlins to shamble around looking for people to bite. Anyone bitten by a zombie gremlin will be convinced they are a zombie until the venom wears off; however, outside of that delusion (which will cause them to want to moan and shamble and bite people) there won't be anything the matter with them and those affected will eventually go back to normal.
The zombie gremlins are susceptible to all the usual zombie-hunting techniques: shoot them in the head, set them on fire, cut their heads off or just kick them really really hard in the general brain area if you're one of those nicer hero types. Hurting them this way won't actually kill them; any 'killed' zombie gremlin will magically revert to being a normal gremlin, and be briefly invulnerable, just so nobody keeps going until the actual gremlin is dead. The spell will wear off by sundown and all the remaining zombie gremlins (and zombie people who haven't gotten the venom out of their system yet) will go back to normal.
Once all gremlins are back to normal, they're going to sheepishly throw the island a little bash of their own as an apology!
