I really have to admire your tenacity, you know. For years, I thought I was the only one left, and even then... really only loosely. And then I come here, and there's you, right there in my classroom, alive and well and... not obvious about it, of course, but you don't seem to have shoved so much of yourself away just to live.

You managed to do what I did, but, at least at a glance, you didn't have to lose so much of who you are in the process. I didn't know that could be done.
