DW's Recent Codepush, LJ Juggler, and You

So yesterday, DW deployed some code changes that, while good and useful... kinda broke LJ Juggler. Which is super-annoying if you're using it to swap easily between multiple RP journals.

If you're using Chrome: You can just update LJ Juggler. It's less secure, in ways that are outlined there in the changelog, but simpler for now.

If you're using Firefox, or Chrome but you want your login information to be somewhat more secure, there is also a fix, but it is somewhat more tedious.

Step 1: Make sure you have the passwords available for each journal you have listed in LJ Juggler. Yes, this means if you don't have them saved in your browser/written on a post it/etc, that you'll need to fill out the lost password form.

Step 2: Now that you have the passwords for all your journals, log in and go to the Mobile Post Settings page. Scroll down to where it says "Manage API Keys" and click "Generate New API Key". Repeat this process for all of your journals.

Step 3: Under "Manage Accounts" in LJ Juggler, delete your current journal usernames, and then re-add them, this time with those individual API keys in the 'password' field instead of your actual password. Repeat repeat repeat for each journal.

OR:

Where it says "Import/Export Account List", click on "Export to file", and then open the resulting file in any text editor. Replace password\":\"a99d5a4e0157f750de8993be9302c6ba\" for each DW journal with password\":\"[your new API key here]\". Save, and then click "Import from file..." and upload that back up to LJ Juggler. You'll still have to generate API keys for each individual journal, but it saves the delete-and-readd step, at least.
