As always, let us know if you disagree with the tag assigned to you.
There were a few questions about how class tags work this term, so here's the quick summary:
- Dreamwidth has some oddities: for instance, there's only a limited amount of tags we're allowed to use in any community. Specifically, there's a total of 1000 tags possible. We're currently approaching 700, so we prefer to reuse old tags wherever possible.
- Another oddity: a tag can only be used for the first time after an admin first applies it to a post. That means making them in advance has no actual benefit, which is why this post goes up on the last day of the week - we can go and tag all classes that have new tags, thus creating them.
- Please do remember to tag your classes! It makes life easier for all of us.
- If you don't want to wait, you are allowed to go through the list of pre-existing tags here and apply one that feels natural.
- There are two exceptions: one, if there was a previous class with a long track-record that does the same thing you're doing and had the same title, such as Flight and Flying, please use that tag and don't pick your own. And two, if there are two classes around the same subject with a similar bent, such as cooking, we prefer you wait on the tag post. That's a rare situation - usually we try to make sure all our classes are dissimilar enough - but if it happens, we don't want hurt feelings because someone ran off with the general 'cooking' tag.
And that's it for class tags! As always, if you have a new character who just made their first appearance somewhere in game, let us know in the comments so we can tag 'em!
