I am so, so glad that Cal is the character that brought you back, both for the joy of getting to RP with you and also for the imperfect perfection that is Cal Kestis (and BD-1).

Nothing brings me greater joy than watching characters torn between two powerful, opposing, but understandable forces in their life. Does he stay true to the original Code, which is restrictive, yes, but was the guiding force (Force?) of his life until the fall, where turning his back on it feels like a betrayal of everyone who was lost and the life he had? Or does he give into the pull of love and friendship and deep attachments, the kinds of things that actually give reason and meaning to life and to fighting? Is it better to feel his emotions and walk the tightrope between learning to handle them/falling to the Dark Side? Or does he shy away from them entirely, leaving him safe but also potentially vulnerable later? Does he stay here or does he go home? (although that one is slightly resolved)

Getting pulled in all these different directions and having to muddle through and find his own way makes for such a GOOD, compelling character that we get to root for and pulls from the themes of the games perfectly.

Also, he and Arden should kiss, I'm just saying.
