FALL 2026 CLASS SIGN-UPS

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! It's time to sign up for your Fall 2026 Classes! These sign-ups are open to EVERYONE: students, teachers, and townies. Please read the following before you start signing up:

1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations! The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!

2) Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name, then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.

The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes

1) Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.

2) If you're a TA for a class, you need to sign up for that class. It will count towards your minimum 2. (Not you, recent grads.) Please note TA-ship in the sign-up for easy of making the class lists accurate. Teachers: please refrain from having your own character act as the TA as it defeats the purpose of having a back-up player to post for you!

3) If it's OOC for your character to take a class but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap.

4) If you sign up, please, please try to show up. It lets the mods judge if you're still in the game and it makes the work the teachers are putting into coming up with something fun to interact with so worth it.

5) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.

6) To be fair to people in all time-zones, sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve.

And now we get to what you really want to see: FALL CLASSES!

FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Sunday, September 6th, 2026.

General FYI: Feel free to make changes to your class choices as long as you do it before the deadline. We use the final pings in each thread to make the class lists, not the email notifs. INVASION! - Troll Dolls

Hello, island! Remember these creepy little things? Well, this Friday, they are invading Fandom at daybreak and attacking everything they can find!

Some are the size of regular troll dolls. Some are much, much bigger. They don't have magical powers, just ferocity, tenacity, and chompy teeth - I sense a rivalry with the gremlins brewing. Also, they're made entirely of non-biodegradable plastic. Ivy would be appalled.

Remaining troll dolls will vacate the island at sunset.

Do YOU Need This Form?

If your character is a current teacher and would like to continue teaching, or a current townie who'd like to start or return to teaching, you DO need this form. Just scroll on down and fill it out below.
If your character is an alum/expat who would be returning to the island to teach, first YAY, and second, you DO need this form. Please drop us an e-mail at fandomhighadmins@iambicnut.com to let us know you plan to bring the character back, then mosey back here to fill out the class proposal below!
If your character was dropped from the game and you'd like to bring them back as a teacher, also YAY, but you'll need to do that by submitting a character application as described here and including your class plans in that. So congratulations, you DON'T need this form!
If you are a current teacher wanting to move to townie status, just drop us an e-mail to say so; you also DON'T need this form. If your teacher is running away for good, tell us over here in the dropped character post.

What If I Want To Teach Adults At The Community Center?

We are no longer offering classes at the Community Center! If you want to teach adults, fill out this form and write that your course is only open to adults. (Bear in mind that the "adults-only" classes will be happening near the high school-aged students, though, and don't plan anything so visibly unsavory that Zoe would chuck the class off the roster and your character off the top of Selkie Peak. Inappropriate shenanigans can happen with proper OOC warnings in the class - we're all adults here even if the characters aren't - but plausible IC deniability is the key.)

What's Needed for a Class?

The ability to come up with 17 weeks worth of classes (16 + 1 exam)
The ability to post each class by noon Pacific or 3pm Eastern the day it's scheduled (you can also post the night before).
The ability to interact with your students (slow play is fine, you don't need to be around all the time).

Hey folks!

Due to unforseen RL circumstances, the logistics around coordinating classes haven't quite worked out the way they usually would. In order to allow us some more time to make sure the class schedule is ready and everyone has enough time to 1) submit class proposals (due Friday!) and 2) sign up for classes, we're extending break week by another week.

That means summer semester 2 begins Monday, July 20th.

We apologize for the last-minute reshuffle. Let us know if you have any questions!
