This Beast is from the Ultimates comics, but he left Xaviers shortly after the S.H.I.E.L.D. arc where the X-Men were captured and tortured. Although he already had blue hair due to a previous experimental medical procedure, this is when he was experimented on and turned into the iconic ape-like Beast. His girlfriend prior to this, Ororo Munroe aka Storm, was (for the purposes of this RPG) unable to accept him after his radical change and tearfully dumped him. He voluntarily left Xavier's and came to FH to try to escape the insanity and daily death-tempting world of the X-men.

Boy, did he make a wrong choice.

Btw, the SHIELD experiments that turned him into the Beast? Incredibly, tortuously, mind-bendingly painful. He still only refers to them obliquely and then just because it's a little hard to hide the fact that he's a blue-fur-covered ape-like mutant.

He *thinks* that he's mentally okay with it, but any mystical or telepathic attempts to "look" at those memories will cause him to go berzerk. He has no idea of this yet.

This Jubilee is basically the Jubilee I remember from when I was reading comics more frequently -- or I should probably say "at all" -- which was maybe mid-nineties. I guess if we could get technical, we're talking early Generation X.
