OOC Character Note
Spider has a long and glorious history of fighting tyrrany and oppression. He gets his hate on especially for anyone in power abusing the people they have control over. He has overthrown governments, fought for the rights of those being oppressed... and saves an extra-special venmous, glow-in-the-dark hate for bullies.
He's also a little obsessed with getting to the bottom of things.
This means that he can and will come down on your ass with hobnailed boots if you descend to violence with no explanation or attempt to seek intervention and/or due process of law.
He's had people attempt to kill him with invisible hit squads for this behavior. He's had cars full of heavily armed police stop and work him over. He knows just how much people hate it, just how much people hate him... and it's never, ever stopped him from pointing and snarling, "You are a fuck who doesn't care about anyone but themselves so how about some goddamn due process of law, some evidence and a mother-fucking trial."
In the current nonsense, he'd currently be looming over Angel personally and demanding an explanation. However, as everyone leaped off the deep end, screaming, Angel is now the persecuted underdog - no matter how much of a creep he is.
...that and Spider seriously suspects, from what he's seen in Angelus' file, that this is Angelus' way of telling a girl that he likes her. Helllloooo culture clash.
At this point, with heavily armed people roaming the grounds, something Spider also loathes, he is not at all prepared to be reasonable. Mob rule makes him angry, unhappy and afraid, and an afraid Spider Jerusalem is not a creature you want to tangle with. Ever. He's had half of his phobia/hot buttons pushed and when you add the fact that it's not only kids versus kids, it's been upgraded to adults vs kids and he's not prepared to be reasonable. At all.
Spider comes from a dark, dark fandom. Fucking dark. He has a lot of issues, but he stands, or slouches, for truth, justice and freedom.
