Note - ooc explanation, for Jayne - if there is such a thing.. *shakes head* uhh yeah.. anyways

, in a lot of ways. But when he thinks that something or someone he cares about is threatened, then it seems, from Canon, that his way is to simply stand guard. He isnt big on the words. He gets easily perplexed by intense social interaction. But this is something that he understands.

Now, if he breaks rules, or does anything viably stupid... and yes, taking off in the middle of an investigation of a missing person heavily armed could be construed as such, then by all means, detian him, arrest him, give him elecroshock therepy... whatever you all would like to do with him.

Im simply playing him as close to charecter as I humanly can, within the bounds of the storyline presented. Which means that an over enthusastic, hormonal, tempermental, not yet fully developed Jayne Cobb (mentally or physaclly) ((does he ever mature mentally? *shakes head again*))uhh yeah... well... Hes going to over react. Every damn time.

So, as Sheldon says - You have a paraniod man-ape mook, heavily armed in your school. He doesnt *want* to hurt anybody. But a victem of mass paranioa is he, and therefore, he is.

hope that helps.

*grins*

I and my muse love him. *nods*

*which is why rover didn't just roll over him and send him to the garbage bin behind the cafeteria, sans weapons*

*rover understands.*

*rover still has a 'job' to do.*

*so Jayne is simply guided with a firm hand...if rover had hands...*

*rover is not offended.*

*rover will keep an eye on Jayne, however*

*...and decide what to do about the guns as it is against the rules*

is there an explanation too for the fact that his parents called him something that sounds like 'jane'? 0.o

It hasn't even been on tv here yet...time for me to move to the us, methinks

'Sides... he's got man pants.

((OOC: Does that mean Jayne is still camped out outside Sara's room in his free time? ;))

Hey, Jerusalem has done similar things with far less provocation. You'll note he didn't threaten Jayne with anything beyond standard detention for rule-breaking, nor did he offer to lay hands on Jayne himself.

If the Principal doesn't do anything about it... neither will he. This time, anyway.

... Jayne'd better not ever come armed to class, however.

*grins* Nah. Spider's too pissy for conversation. He snarled and gave detention and now he's going to go off to the shooting range for a bit, I think. *watches him stomp, raving, off to the shooting range with a scary weapon that cuts people in half*

OK, now I HAVE to see this show. People need to return things to the library that I WANT TO WATCH. (Being currently mostly-unemployed, the library's DVD collection is my best friend.)

Everyone should see it. *nods*

I had the set loaned to me for three months... finally watched it all in one sitting the day before I had to return it. Held out a week before buying my own.

It took me three episodes, as well. The first one, I was still kind of "meh?" and then, the second, I was all, "hmm." After the third, though, I was totally hooked, and now I've watched the whole series four or five times all the way through. I love that goddamned show.

Sigh.

I didn't have TV access while Firefly was on the air, and never really felt like going out of my way to see the show. Then, back in April, I got invited to a preview screening of Serenity, went out and bought the DVDs less than 24 hours later, and had mainlined the entire series within two weeks. A week after that, I had my girlfriend entirely hooked.

Also, my gf tells me that her brother's family had friends over to do a marathon LOTR-watching night, and the friends repaid them by inviting them over for a Firefly marathon. Now they're all Browncoats, the lot of 'em. I love it.

My favorite crack dealer fandom pimp forced lent me her DVDs so I could watch. She also happens to be the person who (a)hooked me on Veronica Mars and (b) created this cracktastic RPG.

I actually changed a hair appointment to go see the movie the day it comes out (which also happens to be the rehearsal dinner for my cousin's wedding, which I'm a bridesmaid in).

By the by... my absolute favorite episode is Jaynestown and I think at some point... someone in this RPG needs to break out in song with "the hero of canton" ;)
