To fix a blunder
It was not Sara's intention to incite mob-like behavior when she gave the faculty/staff the recording of her conversation with Buffy.
Assume that
principalconnor is also aware of the material contained on the tape, and that the only thing Sara shared is Buffy's concerns about Angelus's motives, rather than their personal history. I think those are valid concerns.
Better?
Assume that
Better?

I wouldn't worry about it, really. I also wouldn't try to change/take back anything at this point, as a great many reactions have followed from it and things have already gone on.
Just go with it.

I wanted to clarify precisely what was left on the tapes and yes, the tapes will only be heard by those meant to listen to them and they will not work again. Consider it a Fandom!Wonder.

That being said, based on how you described Sara in her LJ info it does sound like she's reacting in character. We know from the incident in geometry class that she doesn't take crap from students and, as you say, she's not overly fond of guys being assholes to women.
Now obviously from Angelus's POV it's all horribly unfair, because thus far he hasn't done anything, and all Buffy did was accuse him. I mean to him she could have gone to Sidle and said he was building thermonuclear devices too. Is he going to be immediately punished for having the WMD or does he at least get a trial first?
Again: his POV.
But the flip side of that is, hey: Angelus. Not like he's well-known for reading to the blind. If his bad reputation means people are more inclined to trust his accusers than they are him, he's got nobody but himself to blame for that. And it's not unreasonable for there to be teachers and/or students within the game who are going to want to go gunning for him simply because he is who he is, let alone for the crap that he pulls... or will eventually get around to pulling ;)
Granted, the flip side of that is he won't be feeling too friendly towards anyone who did that to him, and thus the cycle of life at Fandom High continues. Or at least the psychodrama of his life.

Considering that she has reserved the right to dissect any of her students or use her guns, I don't think her giving warnings about the dangerous nature of another student are out of character.
And even if Angelus is stupid enough to attack or have someone else attack her, she is more than his match for sheer chutzpah.

Sara reminds me of Kate from the Angelverse. :) And given that I have watched maybe two eps of CSI max, I have no idea if this means she's IC or not. But

Beyond that, I think it's all a matter of making sure actions have consequences, both good and bad, without ruining anybody's fun. I mean let's face it, Angelus could have snapped Principal Connor's neck as soon as she let him up. Sure, the magical security devices in the school would've probably killed him as soon as that happened, but he's a vamp, she's a mortal, he's psychotic enough to have no sense of self-preservation, it's not out of the realm of possibility.
But where's the fun in that? So instead of killing her I just pick another reaction from him that's also in-character. Likewise, I assume none of the good guys are going to find somebody who could stake Angelus before he could do anything to defend himself, or suddenly pull out the sooper sekrit magic spell that nobody's ever heard of before but because Character X in fandom Y has spell-creation abilities now all of the good guys know Angelus's thoughts and plans and weaknesses and suddenly psycho-lad can't even go to the bathroom because he's been thwarted by the RPG equivilant of "I shot you!" "Nuh-huh, I was wearing a kevlar vest and just never told you!"
So that's my take on it. =)

I hope I'm keeping Sara true to character.
