Operation MC - ready & cues: lights, please (OOC)

Most of this is not new, but you may want to review it. And this will, I *swear*, be the last update before places are called tomorrow around 8pmEST/5pmPST.

New stuff:

**Big consideration: John's mun is under hurricane watch, which sucks badly. Hopefully this will all still be good. If JC drops off the map indefinitely with no word, we stall everything to do with the real John. Other action can go forward, but no one is being asked to play against an absent player here. So keep it in mind, and watch the Weather Channel _{and cross your fingers for John's mun - MP's mun]}.**

- prep work with Rogue and Vala to go forward at any time that's convenient on Friday.

- Main action on Friday starts when Elizabeth drugs the guys-- can you handle doing both of them, Liz? If not, we have an army of back-up. Let me know if you need it, or enlist your own. The drug Callisto got is contact-activated; I'm assuming any Vala picks up are going to be food-activated. Your call which you use first and on whom.

- As soon as they're unconscious, after this, Teams, coordinate among yourselves for the beginning of each kidnap-and-move. As Cam, Aeryn, and Beka are NPC for part of the night, contact them if you need them to do anything specific that can be pre-or-post written-action. Otherwise, you're on your own, guys. Anything that can happen, should. MP will be around, as will Vala, Janet, Chloe and others to assist if you need help, but it's mainly the Teams' show from then until drop-off of bodies.

-- Wake-up call, Saturday: Sam & Phoebe, coordinate/fight-it-out, ask for help, it's your call. Use of 'zats should be sparing-- remember, we don't want Rover to catch us! But if needed to dispose of evidence, go to it.

-- Beka has another idea that may (or may not) pan out in time. Beka, let us know if our script changes due to enchantment, 'kay?

-- Spells, confusion, hypnosis, diffusion-- all to be lifted around dinner (6pmEST/3pmPST) Sunday night, unless there's a reason to do it sooner. (If there is, it's totally cool-- just let me know so Parker can be there to gloat. She'll kill me if she misses it.)

-- In between Saturday AM, and Sunday PM, go nuts. Do anything you want (within the usual constraints of reason). Just remember: John is Cameron. Cameron is John. Cameron believes he's John... and John is the only one going nuts. Let anyone else in on the joke if you feel it's necessary.

Recap:

Rogue is still lifting memories from John, as gently as possible so he doesn't understand what happened, sometime on Friday. She'll pass those along (with MP as back-up) to-->

Drusilla, who is going to hypnotize Cameron into thinking he's John as soon as we grab him on Friday. Miss Parker and Rogue ask for her help on Friday, either NPC or actively, so MP doesn't get eaten.

Cameron will spend the weekend thinking he's Crichton (the level of convincing is up to you, Cam) based on the info Dru puts into his brain, and everyone calling him John. Caveat: If you need to 'zat him because Cam-as-John is getting out of hand in anyway (thinking he can fly, thinking he and Aeryn need to have sex, thinking he and Lee need to have sex) that carries a risk that he'll remember he's Cam. Yours and Cam's discretion if you do this, players, but you'll have to scramble to find Dru to re-hypnotize him, always a risky thing.

**Beka will be claiming that she and "Cam" had sex, and Cam is thus "obviously" not a virgin and everyone else is going along with that.
** This part may be subject to change, based on how Beka and "Cam-as-John" want to play this.


Kidnap Teams---

Team 1 takes drugged-out John to Cam's room, strips him down to his skivvies, then leaves him outside so he can wander away on the cue of pyrotechnics in the Saturday AM(ish) either from Sam and/or Phoebe and/or anyone who wants to help convince him something weird happened. Also, should not get caught by Gaeta.

Team 2 has the fun of taking Cam to get hypnotized (and not eaten!) by Dru, then getting him back into John's room while he's still flaked out, and not getting caught along the way by Gaeta.

Beka & Aeryn are going to be messing with the boys even more than everyone else, but everyone of course is in on the "You're Cam" part of it.

A lot of this shouldn't be over-directed, and a lot can be back-dated, just re-directed to the posts that are already up. A *lot* of it can be you guys trying to stop Cam-as-John from getting into trouble-- Dru's hypnosis can be odd-- or remembering, or convincing "John-as-Cam" that he needs to seek treatment, and can't be left alone-- you can suggest anything non-permanent on that front.

Operation Manchurian Candidate is set for Friday, any time players are available. We can slow-play it to draw it out. Let me know if that's a problem, and we'll re-schedule.

I'm baby sitting from 4pmMST onward on Friday, but I should be able to pop in at different points in the night, if anyone has problems or wants MP to participate in parts of this. God knows she's going to be there to point and laugh at John.

Gaeta is Cam's roomie: he may or may not need to be distracted. You guys' call, just keep a lookout.

Anybody who wants to switch teams-- feel free. This isn't locked in forever. Just make sure the rest of your team knows where you're going.

Ahh! Hang on, let me get that converted for you: tomorrow, starting around... crap, that's 1am GMT. Damn. I was concentrating on having the players mostly in the continental US hitting the evening. I totally forgot those in Great Britain and Australia. Argh.

Although-- if you ask your team, and if Lizzie's already drugged him, they could start earlier. That's up to Team 2, just have it happen -- or chime in as participating later-- on the thread where it happens. This can be slow-played, remember! So something that takes place on "Friday" doesn't have toa ctually 'finish' until mid-Saturday.

If you want to beg off, it's okay, really. With your part in the pyrotechnics, and mocking "Cam" and "John" throughout the weekend, you will definitely be participating. All I ask is that the pyrotechnics happen before 5pmGMT, Saturday. :>>

Okay - what does NPC mean?

Ah, my bad. NPC = Non-Player Character.

In other words, the other characters have to write someone else's character for a while, while their mun-writer is MIA. Beka, Aeryn, and Cam have all said when they're gonna be out tomorrow night. The main thing about NPC? Is not making the character do something they wouldn't anyway. (IN this game, that's a stretch. )

Cam's has basically said to play him just play groggy-and-dumb while he's drugged and being hypnotized; you can guess how Beka & Aeryn will act in these circumstances, although they'll be there part of the time.

So... the part of the plan I'm slightly confused about... is... while Cam is pretending to be John, where is John going to be?

John's mun is being a good sport; she/he knows that revenge is coming (and gave permission for it to happen), but doesn't know the exact form. John, being the victim, doesn't need to know what's coming, can just react to his 'life being stolen' as it were, in character.

John is going to be switched, stripped to underwear, and then left either in Cam's room (while avoiding Cam's roommate, Gaeta) or in the common room, or... anywhere that would be most amusing to wake up to fireworks and "magic" pyrotechnics, courtesy of Sam, Phoebe, and Electric Light Incorporated. The first time he'll know something's wrong will be when people start calling him Cam.

The rest of hte student body isn't in on this, but... I'm hoping they'll pick up on it and assume that people who are calling John "Cam" know what they're talking about, especially when Cam-as-John claims to be John.

I know. It's convoluted. Is it mostly making sense, though?

Am still working on the whole enchantment issue. Must find Aeryn's mun to see how she wants to play this. The enchantment will add complexity, but could easily enough be written in later.

The way it would work, only Aeryn and Beka would know they were masquerading as each other. Except, also Beka might have the spell keyed so that Cam would know she was herself. Or not.

Am in negotiations with Dierdre about sorcery, Potter might be a good choice except his spells tend to backfire. Do you have plans for the big reveal? Because Aeryn and Beka having their glamours die would be one hell of a way to start the grand unravelling.

As for your other plans--- keep in mind, you're setting up *everyone* who's in on the joke to think Aeryn is cheating on John with Cam-as-John, and Beka is attempting to cheat on Cam with John-who's-really-John.

If you can keep it straight-- maybe through a creative use of icons-- this could be fun. :> But yes, it is something you can play with around the edges later, instead of right at the start, pretty easily.

Hm. Well. It seemed easier than keying it to everyone. But, if I had a list of those who were in on the joke, I could make sure that everyone in on it would know that Aeryn and Beka were Aeryn and Beka and were babysitting their respective mates, while confusing the hell out of them but not endangering Beka's health by having her kiss John (again) or endangering Aeryn's health by having her getting anywhere close to kissing Cam. ;)
