All right, that's it.
Students are not allowed to carry guns or weapons. This, we already know.
However, new rule -- as of this moment, the teachers aren't allowed to carry guns or weapons, either.
Let me explain why.
THIS IS A HIGH SCHOOL. I REPEAT, THIS IS A HIGH SCHOOL.
It is in character for at least five of the teachers to carry guns in their everyday life and at least four of them to carry swords. However, we don't need to, and we shouldn't ... not anymore. And please keep in mind that I'm saying this as Sarah Connor. If anybody at the school should complain about prying their weapon from her cold, dead hands, it's her.
But we won't be doing that. You know why? Because after not-all-that-much consideration, it's wrong for the teachers to be freakin' ARMED, and the students not to be. Why should a handful of adults be armed against a bunch of teenagers? And I feel like the term "teenagers" should be repeated once more for anybody who seems to be missing that point. Are some of these students dangerous? Yes. But they're not so dangerous that ADULTS should be carrying GUNS to ward off TEENAGERS.
Now, before anybody points out the obvious -- *points to icon* -- Sarah has fired her weapon once. ONCE. Three shots in the air to break up a verbal argument for comic effect.
And before anybody tries to argue that they need a weapon to keep their students in line, NO. If you need a gun or a sword to keep your students in line, you should NOT be teaching. You should be able to keep teenagers in line without projectile weaponry. Sarah can do it, and will be doing so from now on. (God knows she doesn't need a weapon to be intimidating.) Remember high school? Your teachers could do it.
Any teacher who refuse to teach without a gun nearby will be fired. On the same token, any teacher who specifically persecutes any one student over everybody else without some real evidence other than what's in their school files will also be fired. A student's school files are not only confidential, but also not applicable to anything happening in their lives here at Fandom High.
Every student at this school, regardless of their past, starts off again here with a clean slate. This is why you will not be seeing Sarah publicly pointing to those students at the school who are werewolves and might have been involved in last night's attacks. Are they werewolves? Yes, but that is not enough reason to publicly persecute them. They have received their warnings and have responded with their apologies and assurances that they will contact the school administration if they need our help keeping themselves in control. However, this is not enough for any of them to be trailed after for the rest of the school year by teachers carrying guns loaded with silver bullets.
I also would like to point out that this is a game, this is supposed to be all in good fun, and these student characters are, for all intents and purposes, CHILDREN. If you can't handle a few hundred children without a gun or a sword, we can always find someone else who can.
EDIT: I will also add that any disciplinary action by a teacher that goes beyond giving a student detention is grounds for immediate expulsion from school grounds. Teachers will inform
prisoner_rover, who will bring the offending student to the principal for disciplinary action from now on.
