Hi =)

Okay, so as far as I'm aware twice now there's been a couple of to dos over stuff going on with Angelus. This has a strange habit of happening whenever I'm away from the computer for a few hours, so clearly the first lesson here is that I need to never leave the house again ;)

I'm not going to get into the specifics of the various plotlines because I don't think the specifics are the point. I did want to do an OOC post, though, just to make sure that in game stuff doesn't get mixed with out of game.

To that end: it's okay. Really. Anything that's happened so far with psycho-lad has been totally fine with me. Some of it I knew about it before hand, some of it I found out after the fact, some came up as it came up. But whatever it was it was fine. I'm not saying one or two things didn't have me scratching my head and asking for a rules clarification, but we got that this past weekend so I'm good to go.

Some people have said that they were creeped out by the plotlines. I am sorry about that. Some of the creepiness was things he did, some were things that happened to him. As I've only got the one character I can only take responsibility for his half, but if anything he's done has caused freakage I do apologise.

In my defense, I present my fandom. He's neither done anything nor had anything done to him that isn't comparable to something that's happened on the show. Granted on the show he's not quite so worried about Student Council and whether or not he's going to Homecoming, let alone who he's going to ask to be his date, but that's the fun of Fandom High. Take the Scourge of Europe and make him wonder whether or not the fact that he stalked a girl means he now really faces a good chance of failing Bio.

So, please, by all means don't be scared of him. Or, you know, do be scared of him because psychotic vampire, but don't be scared of me. I'm on AIM, I've got email, all the contact info is in the userinfo for this account. You want to go head to head with him let's hear it and go nuts. If I wanted to do my own thing I could write fanfic, and anybody who knows me knows that that's not an idle threat ;) I hang out here, though, because it's tons of fun, you all kick major ass at writing your characters, and where else in the world could Senior Psychopath be BFF with Belthazor, get sent to detention by Sidle, get hauled in for questioning by Logan and Briscoe, and be just as weirded out by the food in the cafeteria as everybody else is?

Angelus? I'm totally loving your character, and I'm not entirely certain why everyone's all up in arms. I think the plotlines are great.

Rory is scared shitless of you, of course, but that's to be expected. She's pretty much resigned to just avoiding you because you freaked her out.

Dude - I don't know Buffy/Angel well at all - but going by what a friend of mine (who is involved with this community) has said - you're playing the character VERY well.

I don't understand why people are going after *you* so much when there are other big baddies around (like Belthazor) but as long as you're cool with it, that's all that matters.

Well if people did legitimately get freaked IRL by something he did that does suck. I mean they may have signed on for wacky fun adventures at high school, not big loomy guy pins roses to girl's dorms with daggers. So if stuff like that is what's going on: mea culpa.

I get that. All I can talk about is my own POV on it, and since it's my character in the middle I figured better to post some clarification on that end. That way if I've done something that upset people they'd know who to blame, or if they were upset thinking that I was upset they'd know it was okay.

I just wanted to chime in with praise, too. I have no idea what's going on with people being creeped out (I honestly don't see why anybody would be, but I've noticed in the past that I'm rather desensitized), but I'm loving your take on Angelus. He's the clear villain of the piece without (and this is the key) doing much villainy yet. He's just there, and he has some mission. I see it as really wonderful plotting (both in the sense of "OOC storytelling" and "IC scheming").

I'm also getting a kick out of people setting themselves up as anti-Angelus, too. Like I said, I don't know what anyone's actual objections are, but I'm enjoying all of it.

(So much so that I have another character in mind who might steal a couple of your beats, but apply them in an over-the-top comedic way...)

Just have to chime in with my appreciation for the very awesome way you're playing Angelus. Being a Townie, I haven't been privy to a lot of what's gone on concerning the Big Freakout Over Angelus, so I won't even try to comment on that except to say that if the entire point is to play the character, and a character's general behavior bothers a person, then I think the best course of action is for that person to avoid interacting with that character.

And how I would love to see an exchange between Angelus and Aziraphale, if I could just figure a way for that to happen and still make sense. (Maybe Aziraphale will stop by the next time Angelus is shopping at The Old Firm.)

There's so many characters I'm dying to have him interact with and he just does not have the time. I mean he's coming together with Dru for the first time tonight, and if Dru's been put on a waiting list you can see how busy he is.

He could stop by the bookshop at some point though, esp since he's effectively barred from anything fun at the library. There's also that church, which he'll probably stop in on at some point.

Well, for my part Callisto finds Angelus more annoying amusing than anything else. As far as she's concerned he's pretty much your everyday garden-variety pyschopath.

Plus it's very hard to be threatened by someone who reverts to schoolyard insults every time they interact with you.

Having watched nearly every episode of both shows, your Angelus is perfect. In fact, he's damn near one of the most on-the-spot characters in the game.

And I can't say it enough -- the fact that he's managed to get the principal on his side just by being his charming, intelligent self is hilaaaaarious to me. (Granted, evil charming, intelligent self, but still. ;))
