Not a quote from FandomHigh, but still really funny.

So I'm giving my fannish guests the play-by-play last night as the zombies attack and I end up having the following conversation:

Me: Oh my god! Anakin wants to set olive oil on fire.
Friend: Wait... the stuff that comes out of olives or the character from Popeye?
Me: *blink* [pause] *blink*
Friend: Well, I guess he could set her on fire and catapult her out onto the zombies if he really wanted to!

She'll be joining us at the next open enrollment. [g]

I am so very glad I am not the only one with friends who have been following the action. I get teased mercilessly about my fandomcrack habit. :)

My oldest kiddo is following it, because she wants to join us as well. She puts the juicy bits out to her ultra-geek boyfriend.

They were both dying about the uzi-toting chicken.

She still teases me, anyway, despite wanting to join up.
"Mom, go have gay sex with your imaginary boyfriend."

((OMG you made me spit on the monitor, that is so funny! My roommates (both guys) keep asking me about fandomcrack. "Have you had your daily hit yet? Do you need your fix?" gah, the neighbors are going to get the wrong idea. As if their Warcrack isn't as bad? Hello!

:)

And just so ya know, I think Han+Bagoas=tehcute! I have been following it happily.))

I tried explaining Fandom High to one of my friends. The phrase "It makes sense in the game!" came up a lot.

I've given up trying to explain it now, I generally just go with "it's a laugh" now

Mylia: *falls off of bed in a heap giggling*
Daughter: Mom? What are you laughing at?
Mylia: Evelyn is in a tree.
Daughter: ... why?
Mylia: Zombies chased her up there.
Daughter: Mom...Evie fights zombie things...
Mylia: I'm playing her as a teenager.
Daughter: ... Wait. That Fandom High thing you're always talking about?
Mylia: Yes.
Daughter: The one with Daniel Jackson from Stargate as a teacher?
Mylia: *trying to figure out where this is going* Yeah...
Daughter: So this is before she got control over her powers of mischief and mayhem?
Mylia: Huh?
Daughter: Evie in high school + Daniel Jackson + Stargate artifacts, correct?
Mylia: You sound like scarily like Mikey...but your point?
Daughter: So this is before she learned to only bring one zombie mummy guy to life. She brought forth a whole zombie army.

I will probably be writing up an OOC post in one of my character journals about last night's mayhem and RL conversations during this.
