Course Directory
..is not done. But it's started.
http://www.fandomhigh.com/academics/courses.shtml
This is not how they'll be organized when I'm finished and the formatting for the individual class boxes is not final. Please take a look and let me know if any information needs changing. I know it's kinda ugly, but that's partially me being tired and partially on purpose (to replicate the godawful course listings of other schools).
Some class entries do not have times attached yet. I will be locating them later, but if helpful folks just want to hand them to me like yummy candy, I won't object.
Teachers: I'm going to ask for 50-100 word summaries for each of your classes here soonish. I'm not explicitly asking now because there's a few teachers who already have that and I just need to collate who in my head. If you know for a fact that you don't, however, comment here with that information.
Eventually the Syllabi will have separate pages that will be linked to (I'm probably just going to make a Syllabi page per teacher and dole out the information as appropriate).
I go collapsey now.

Er, also, where would I post a picture for the yearbook/student directory thing? I have it all cropped and resized, nothing but uploading for you to do.
Well, here it is, and I'll move it if you want. :) (I hope this works. It's uploaded to my LJ gallery, so we'll see.)
Fashion, Style, and All Other Things You Need to Know to be a Generally Hoopy Kid.
"When it comes to fashion, there is one universal truth: It’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it. In this weekly class, students pair up, dress one another according to a pre-set theme, and convince the instructor what they’ve come up with is spectacular, even if it isn’t. Not every student passes, but those who do gain something more valuable than most people can ever hope for: attitude, influnce, and all the power that goes with it."
Thanks for all of your work on the site, it looks fantastic!

Subject Description
So here's the question: do you want the class descriptions in character or as written by someone who actually passed high school without the help of a time-travelling phone booth?
Music 101: Thursday 12pm-2pm
Band Practice: Thursday 2pm (actually slow-timed, but 'officially' starts at 2pm)

Speech 101,M/W
Intro to Public Speaking.
A beginning speech class for those who are less than comfortable speaking in front of other people. Work focuses on confidence, enunciation, and organization.
Speech 201, T/Th
Advanced Public Speaking
A course designed for students who do not get nervous. Students will learn preparation for addressing others in classical speech format. Traditional Greek rhetorical tools of ethos, pathos, and logos are used.
Speech 301, Daily
Interpersonal Communication
A more theory based course. Students will examine how people communicate with one another. Classes will be thematically grouped by week. Essays and discussion are required.
Syllabus
There is no syllabus for these courses. I expect discussion and encourage participation. Students who do so will succeed. Students who do not will fail. That's all there is.

Crime is a scourge that must be scoured. Knowledge is the Brillo Pad of Righteousness. The students in my class? House Keepers of Honor! Criminal Justice provides these young adults the cleaning utensils they'll need to uphold Law and fight Evil! It is a discussion-oriented class meeting twice a week. Students are expected to participate at least once a week, but any less than showing up to every class is robbing themselves of their Future!

I'll get you that summary sometime today (depending on RL courseload)
Have I offered my undying gratitude to you lately?

Not changing IDs for just this comment, but Drusilla's just teaching Abnormal Psychology (there were, like, two takers for Developmental Psych), and class time should just be listed as "Random." I'll get you a syllabus later, when I'm feeling a little less rational. :)

The 50-100 word summaries are all in the syllabus, but I could copy and paste them if that makes it easier. Which it does, so I shall. When you ask for them ;)

You are the epitome of awesomeness for this.

Have tape and Ace bandages, will travel.
