[OOC: Friending List, Reprise]

Okay, reposting this in hopes that I might actually keep it as up to date as possible.

So I've taken the original list and trimmed off everyone I have not personally seen post in a good long while. Bear in mind that I do not look at every thread that goes on, so I've likely missed some people. Please don't take it personally, I'm just trying to make sure that people who are gone don't stay on the list because no one realizes they're not around anymore.

If you're not on the list, please let me know. I will add you back and I won't make fun of you no really. In the same vein, if you think someone shouldn't be on the list, I'll remove them until someone else lets me know that they're actually active or on hiatus or whatever.

If you need to add friends, I've included the instructions again. Be aware that I'll hopefully have a shiny new list in a few days as people comment and the list is made all good and worky.

Instructions:

To do the whole shebang, you'll have to go into your Edit Custom Friends Groups and create four filters: comms, students, teachers, and townies. Don't forget to save the changes before the next step!

Then go over to the Admin Console and copy/paste the entire list in (or one section at a time). Hit "execute" and it should do its magic!

To View Your Filters:

Depending on the scheme you're using, it'll either be under "Your Journal" in the left hand column or under "Journal" using the scrollover link at the top of the page.

Beside the link for "Friends" there's an ellipse (it'll look like this: Friends...). Click the ellipse and it'll bring you to the page where you can view your filters individually.

Note: If anyone knows an easier way to remove all your friends (through the admin console for example), please let me know. It would be much more expedient than having to check them all off each time I redo this.

EDIT: If you need to purge your friends before doing a re-add, copy and paste the entire list into a document and do a find and replace turning instances of "add" into "remove" (but make sure you fix addams_daughter before you move on) and then remove all the comm names (comms, students, teachers, townies). Then copy and paste the list into the admin console and manually delete everyone that's left on the Your Friends page. After that, follow the above instructions to add back the current list. Now you're all set!
