Faculty Employment Posting

Students, Faculty and Townies - feel free to cross-post this.

**

This is an open listing of employment opportunities available at [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh.

Applications will be open until Friday, at which point each applicant will be contacted and informed of the decision of School Administration. There are currently only five openings so, depending on the response, you could be disappointed. From this point onward, when we lose a faculty member we will be immediately posting a job opening, so keep an eye out.

Current Teaching Roster

At this time, we are searching for people/beings/animated furniture to teach the following:

Mathematics
Philosophy
Computers
Geography
Shop Class

A few things before we get to the actual application.

1. All applicants must be at least passingly familiar with what [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh is. You may peruse the link above or browse here if you feel you need further information.

2. Please peruse the Student Directory to be certain that you are not requesting a character already taken. Duplicate characters are not allowed.

(We do have two versions of Death [Sandman vs Terry Pratchett] and two Samantha Carters [One being a Replicant] but these are very distinctly different characters with different origins – not two version of the same thing.)

3. All applicants must have read the rules and be familiar with them.

4 Role-playing experience is not required but it is strongly encouraged.

5. The teachers at [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh are required to hold classes. Please scan the community to see what methods the various teachers are using to hold class, assign/collect homework and grade.

6. Before you apply, please be certain that you are capable of keeping up with the work-load. [livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh is a very fast-paced and detail oriented game. Do some reading and be certain that you will not either burn out or be overwhelmed by taking on this character which is, at the heart of it, a responsibility as well as a pleasure. You can always have an assistant or substitute take your classes when you are out of town or ill, but you are committing to having classes every week. Some teachers have them every day. Be aware of the workload before you apply.

Please send completed application forms to JournalismProf @ gmail.com Any failure to follow directions will result in your disqualification from the process.
