Yeah, the old Sam is no longer playing her, and this is Sam's new player.

Which is good, because the old Sam wanted to learn magic and I think that breaking genre like that would have brought The Wrath Of The Admins down upon her.

You can tell it's a new Sam, because new!Sam is actually talking to Janet. :) Janet was all sad before when her best friend was mad at her.

Janet is no longer sad! Well, that's only because she's been taken over by a rampaging bitch queen. But Janet will no longer be sad when Hathor is gone! ~~She'll just be angsty instead.~~

Janet would be very happy about that if she weren't currently trying to stop Hathor from killing or minionizing all her friends and failing miserably. And Janet will be very glad Lee will get over that.
