Simplifying assumption: we're gone
I suspect most of the American FH'ers have family commitments around now.
To save wear-and-tear on the friendslist, would it make sense for everybody to assume nobody's available unless you see him/her actually posting? That is, we're all out for the duration unless we say otherwise?
[P.S. I thought that all our friendslists would be shorter if people were reporting their presence rather than their absence. It sounds as if this is a bad idea; I withdraw it.]
