FH Awards OOC Stuff
FH Awards Explanation for the newbies...
FH Awards is simply a chance to recognize your fellow players for their talents and abilities. Once a month a nomination ballot is posted in my journal, usually at the middle of the month. The nomination period runs for about two weeks and anyone in the game can nominate a player in the following categories:
Best Performance:
Female: Best Female Character for the month
Male: Best Male Character for the month
Thing: Best performance by a character that isn't either sex or human. Only sentient characters please. Non-Sentient hat nominations will not be considered.
OTP: (One True Pair) The best couple in Fandom.
Best Teacher: For the best teacher. Duh.
Best Student: *looks at you strangely* Do I really need to explain this one?
Best Townie: *sighs with exasperation* Wait until after class. I'll explain then.
Best Scenes: Dramatic and Comedy
Submit a link and a brief description for the best scene you've seen in the month. If it is an obscure scene, please make sure it has a link or I'll come after you.
Best Journals: Content & Layout
Submit nominations for the best journal that either has the best writing content or looks really cool
*Random Categories*
I usually throw in one or two random categories a month for the heck of it.
Nomination rules:
No Character or Journal is eligible for nomination if they have won an award in the last three months.
Animals sounds nominated by a transvestite warrior who used to go by the name of "Alan" are invalid and will result in *thwapping*.
*cough* Private Joke. Move along.
At the end of the nomination period, I submit all entries to an accounting firm for tallying and the nominees with a majority of votes will be put into a final ballot.
The final ballot lasts for about a week and after a tally of the votes I post the winners here in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
fandomhigh_ooc. If I have time? The winners get shiny banners for them to flash at all their LJ friends and show them how cool they really are.
