Notes on the gym

So since we're getting bigger crowds in the gym and I keep seeing people ask "What do we have in there?" I'm putting together a little OCD list for reference.



-Punching bag (as far as I know, there's always only been one, hanging from the roof by a chain. Yes, this question was totally asked once.)

-Treadmill

-Stairmaster

-Various handwavey weight machines

-Rowing machine

-Free weights

-Fencing equipment that I don't actually know the name of, but this does include the swords with the ball point that aren't of the hurty sort

-Wooden swords for sparring

-Basketball court

-Lockers (The gloves? In here.)

-Equipment room

-Jump ropes

-Mats (for gymnastics, along with under the punching bag/in that area for sparring)

-Dance studio (which I always thought was off the gym, too)

-Rollout bleachers

-Pyramid court that can be rolled out

-Balls (not dirty)

-Second story? Gymnastics equipment?




That's all I can remember at the moment. I'll add if I can think of anything else, and if you've established something as being there, add a comment here, just so we all know.

The gym, btw, doesn't ever seem to be closed. My character's been in there at 3 am before, so I'm playing that it's always open. Ha.

(Be glad I can't reasonably make up a floor plan of the gym. Seriously. I considered it cuz it's very clear in my head, yes.}

Along with the fencing equipment there are wooden swords for sparring.

I seem to recall a mention of available "sparring gloves", a mat that people spar on, and I could have sworn that somebody besides me has used a "speed bag" which is on it's own stand or something.

There's also a stage I think, and roll out bleachers, and windows that are in a place where Blair people can lean out and be hit in the face with killer snowballs.

Buffy's used mats for gymnastics. I'm thinking the v. flat kind that's only marginally softer to fall on than the floor.

There's a dance studio (I've been operating on the assumption that the gym has two stories, so I'm thinking of it as upstairs), and the Pyramid court that can be wheeled out and set up on the court.
