Dorm Renovations

Hello!

We're renovating sections of the dorms.

First Floor

The first floor will be undergoing renovations all this week in game. At the end of it (we will notify when), the first floor will consist of the following:

* First floor lobby
* Large computer lab
* Garage (with bicycles and a few Vespas you can borrow)
* Study rooms
* A recreation room (with an air hockey table, dart board and other items to be determined)
* The gym
* Fraser's room
* The stable (which is near the dorms, but not actually attached)


Attics

The attics are now empty and we will eventually change all of them into something useful. Currently, one of the attics has been converted into an observatory under the direction of Doctor Ellie Arroway. Please contact Ellie if you wish to use the equipment in there.

Are the renovations ours to mod assuming we don't interfere? What I mean is, can we make reference to new-paint smell or piles of sawdust or do some exploring in the areas being renovated, or should we just handwavily ignore it until you're done?

Discussing the old computer lab, we came to the realization that nobody could come to agreement on where it was. Some people said in the school building, some people said somewhere in the dorms. One person said on the moon, but then everyone else told me to shut up and be serious for a minute.

So whereever the old one was, it's still there. We can never have too many computers, after all. This is just giving a new lab a more concrete placement.

The garage is for small vehicles only. The bus - like all most vehicles (cars and such) - is going to have to stay in the parking lot by the causeway.

Those are small, like bicycles and vespas. The garage works for them.

Referencing that there is work going on is fine (just don't mod the workers as doing any work during the middle of the night - there are laws about that kind of thing :) ), but we have OSHA to worry about, so probably not exploring. If you really want to, you can check with an admin at the time.
