Tagging and you

Hey, look what I have here. It's the list of tags to use for this semester's classes! As a reminder, all classes should be tagged with the correct name, and no other information is needed (we don't need the teacher's name, the location, who's in the post, anything like that).

*raises hand* Questions, sorry, but my OCD knows no bounds. I'm setting up LJ to notify me when one of my classes gets posted (thank GOD we can do that now!), and as it's tag-based, I am seeking slight clarification on tags.

There are no "forensic science" or "sociology of space travel" tags listed as available for me to track posts by, but there "forensics" and "sociology" tags. Should I just go with those tags when setting up my alerts? (Well, I have, so I guess what I'm asking is should I check back for the class-specific tags later?) Also, there is no "anatomy" or "human anatomy" tag at all. Though I was good to go on "the gods and you" tag-tracking.

Possibly this is all just LJ being mean and messing with me, and these tags are in existence and not showing up as I try to track them. (LJ does, on occasion, simply just hate people, after all.) I may well be worrying needlessly.

So, thank you! I appreciate it! (And thank you for being so exhaustive with the tagging; it makes it easier if I can get a ping when classes are posted, rather than having to go and reload the comm to check.)

It may just be because those classes haven't been posted yet and LJ won't track something that hasn't had the tag used yet. If you stick with the old tags, you're going to never be notified as those classes are from a while ago.

Actually, Forensics and Anatomy have been posted, but neither has a tag entry for it, which is why I think LJ may just be futzing up, as both of those teachers are way good about tagging entries. I was waiting to see if that was the case before I bothered you. :)

Sorry! I don't know if it's just LJ, or if there's something that got mistakenly entered off, or what, but I'll just keep checking back to see if I can get notifications.
