NOTICE FOR NEW PLAYERS AND OLD PLAYERS WITH NEW CHARACTERS

So those of you attempting to utilize the master friending list for your newly accepted characters may have noticed that you can only add a certain number before LJ tells you, "No, nein, nada, DO NOT WANT, and gtfo, n00b, LOLZ."

I'll be looking at ways to retool the list regarding this new development, but until then, just know that it'll take 24 hours from the point that it tells you you can't add any more before you'll be able to add the rest.

And, just for those of you who are on the EDGE OF YOUR SEATS waiting for the update, I'll say it's coming soon, it'll be awesome, and then you (and I) will be able to sigh in toe-curling relief as old journals go away and all the new ones are conveniently added to the correct filters.

Questions, comments, suggestions that I stop making posts at 4am?

I have, at least, a partial suggestion? I know we're probably about too many characters for this work, but... if one were to split the friending list into waves? I mean, it's usually not vitally important to have the alumni journals friended since 99.9% of what they do is in the alumni comm, so they could be in a second 'wave' of friending?

...Of course we currently only have, like... 7 alumni.

...so that might not work quite yet.

...it was a thought.

(though one could probably lump the NPC journals, which really don't make a lot of posts on their own, in with that second wave)

Yeah, I might do that, or possibly just make a note saying "HEY, this part now, this part tomorrow." since it'll still be the master list that's the problem and it doesn't get reposted.

I can't tell you to stop making posts at 4 a.m. as I tend to make mine around then, too.

As for the friending, what I did was I added all of the students to my new character yesterday morning, and then this morning I added comms, alumni, teachers and townies. :)

Nope, but there was a link to the master friending list in the acceptance emails sent out to all new characters.
