...this has got to stop being a habit. Srsly. Next week! On time. Even while I'm on hiatus due to wedding. That's what hotel room wireless is for, isn't it?
Er.
Anyway! On with the show.
What kind of shoes do you like best?
...I've got this pair of Crocs that aren't really Crocs but they're awesome because they look like real shoes on the outside and I will wear them until they die. Srsly.
Dude, thank goodness I still have THIS icon without my paid time cause I don't think I could RP without it. *random observation*

My feet are totally the wrong shape for Chucks, unfortunately.

...
Yes, I only own about one pair of shoes.

Oh, but there is my winterboots which are the most amazing thing ever. I have never had a more comfortable shoe and I was totally wearing them way after I should of just because of the comfy.

I also have a pair of sneakers I do that with. Sketchers, two pairs, blue and silver and black. They're a very specific design. If they ever get discontinued? I will cry. Same thing, I replace them whenever they wear out.
I also am in love with my Faithful Converses. They're Converses with a black cat on them!
Oh, and those cute red pumps with the mesh and the bow, and the cream sandals with the chunky heel, and the black sandals with the six inch heels, and the short boots that I never get to wear since hello LA.
And sometimes? Plain old flip-flops. Of which I only have three pairs.
...I have 36 pairs of shoes. Not including slippers and flip-flops.

My shoe collection is not particularly very big.

I'm not PICKY about shoes, really, I just like them to be cute. I have a ton of shoes in fun colors, probably about ten different pairs of black shoes with varying heel size, toe exposure, fabric and so on, one pair of snow boots because I do, in fact, live in the Midwest, and one pair of slippers that look like bumblebees because THEY ARE AWESOME AND ADORABLE.
Relatedishly, I also have this thing about perfectionism and I'm really kind of vain, so I always have my toenails painted. I recently got a REALLY gorgeous pedicure, with dark sort of aubergine-colored polish with little white designs on the big toes, but for the majority of summer I had them black (the upkeep is easier than with a light polish) and I'll probably go back to that after my pedi goes away.

Either those or my winter boots (yes, even in summer) for work. Not work? Rockin' the sandals. Can't remember the last time I wore shoe-shoes and not boots.

Yay sandals!

In high school I didn't wear anything that wasn't a heel or didn't have a platform on it, to the point that no one knew how tall I actually was. I ended up stopping this eventually (my prom shoes would have been 4", I think I realized I had a problem when I wanted to wear something that might classify as a stripper shoe) and kind of kept to 2" or less, at least till this week when I tried on a glorious pair of hot pink 4" pumps and could still walk like I was Tyra.

I would totally wear these ALL THE TIME if I could, seriously.
Which is not to say I don't own a ridiculous amount of shoes, because I *do*. I love cute shoes. I almost never wear them unless I'm dressing up, but I do love buying them.

Also, they have saved my toes hundreds of times. Mine. <3

A pair of sandals (as in the all-purpose ones, not those fancy looking ones) which I wear until the weather gets cold, and then it's a pair of sneakers.
I don't really have a thing for shoes. *shrug*
...socks, on the other hand... :D

I wear a lot of sandals and flip-flops. Stuff that I don't need socks for, basically. I really don't like having my feet covered. But, of course, I have several pairs of loafer-type shoes and boots since I live in the DC area and we get lots of cold and snow.

But since I cannot wear flip flops to work (WOE) my favorites are then my 3" suede-like wedges that make my feet say OW at the end of the day. Honestly I'm not even sure why I love them when they cause such pain other than the whole beauty = pain thing.
(it's weird to talk about heels and then pick an icon from this account)

Shut up, it was nineties, I was in theatre, and it was the most comfortable outfit I've ever worn, even if it looked dumb and would have gotten me a spot on What Not To Wear. I could look down at my feet and be happy.
I have a pair of purple ones now and I love them just as much.
Also, I have a pair of brown clogs that I love and would wear much more often if I didn't fear I'd fall over every time I wear them out of the house.

I also love my EcoSneaks (http://www.simpleshoes.com/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=2121&categoryID=356&g=m&model=Sno%20Tire-%20Certified%20Leather) (the Skiffs (http://www.simpleshoes.com/ClearanceDetails.aspx?productID=2161&categoryID=220&g=m&model=Skiff-Hemp) are actually quite comfy too and are my general workday shoes these days).
But then, I also love my Skechers boots and my Docs and that pair of all-terrain insulated hikers I have and . . . I like shoes. Clunky shoes, mostly. Because I'm short, but . . . I don't know. I just like clunky shoes.
I have boots for Weather, really. Which is hilarious. I live in Los Angeles.

I go more for functionalty than pretty, and I couldn't find a pair of 'sandals' in the womens' section that weren't like dress-up stuff. So a quick cruise to the mens' section (actually I wound up with a boys' pair ;) to get the kind of sandal I wanted.
I'm strange, I like my barefeet in sandals, but the sandals themselves have to be able to handle things like rocks - big honking rocks - streams, sticks, etc...

Other than that, my favorite shoes are my awesometastic Frankenstein boots.
I call them that because I can't bend my ankle in them, so I kina have to stomp around like the monster from the film 'Frankenstein'.

I have tons of heels, from spiked to wedges, open toed and closed. I have a few Mary Janes that are adorable, and a pair of hot pink 3" heels I actually haven't worn yet.
I love shoes but hate feet. But my toenails are always painted. ALWAYS. And when at home? My feet are never bare. I HAVE to wear socks. My feet are usually always cold and maybe it's more habit than anything now, but I love socks! Srsly. I'm weird. I have more cute socks than I do shoes. These (http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/product_detail_view.jsp?productId=5729_7113&cName=Dark%20Heather%20Grey&img=5729_7113_553&view=Large_265&status=1&lsize=short) were my latest purchase and I <3 them.

I do have one pair of heels, some Sketchers. But they make me feel about six feet tall, and hideously out of proportion.

When I am not barefoot and it is above, say, 50 degrees, I usually am wearing my Tevas. I had one pair I wore for 8 years (maybe it was 9...) before I finally admitted I'd worn them so much they were no longer comfortable.
I'm pretty fond of my Docs too, and my Merrell boots for when it is cold. But I would much rather be barefoot or in sandals.
