Secret Santa!

Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! You know what that means! Secret Santa!

Anyway. The past couple years, we've done an OOC Secret Santa gift exchange, and we'll be doing one this year as well. The way this works is that you sign up in this post by Friday, December 12. By doing so, you will be assigned a Secret Santa to make you a gift, and you'll also be responsible for a gift for someone. Emails will go out that night telling you who your RNG-assigned Secret Santa is.

You will have until December 23 to make them gifts, and here's the catch -- you can't buy anything for them, with the exception of paid LJ time, or extra userpics, that sort of thing.

When you sign up, please include a list of things you'd like, as a note to your Secret Santa. Example:

Hi, Secret Santa!

Merry Christmas! I'd love it if you could get me some more icons for Harvey (

yourwhiteknight) because the world could always use more Aaron Eckhart. I always love new layouts, and icons, and other LJ goodies. Fic is good - my fandoms are [insert fandoms here], and I looooove new music, if you feel like uploading. And anything else you can think of!

Links to these comments will be provided in the emails sent out this weekend, so that you'll be able to get right to work on your gifts.

You can make as many or as few things for your Secret Santa as is convenient for you, and the notes are, naturally, just guidelines -- you don't have to follow their wishlist to the letter! It's just to give you an idea. Please do remember that you signed up and are responsible for a gift for them, though.

On December 23, we'll do our reveal post, where you can give and receive your gifties!

I love new music, and have super-eclectic taste, but my favorites are soundtracks (omg, you don't even KNOW the stories about me singing dorkily in my car.) I can always do with more icons, especially for

Fic is shiny and one of my favorite things ever -- my fandoms can be found here (http://just-3-apples.livejournal.com/profile). And of course, icons in any of those are lovely and shiny. Layouts are AWESOME, as are userinfo banners and other graphic goodies.

I am a music glutton. Make me a mix and I will love you. My favorite bands/artists are U2, Sleater-Kinney and Bob Dylan (so, we like the eclectic) but I also dork out over musicals and worship Kanye West.

HI! You rock. Just saying.

I'm not asking for music, because I have weird and semi obscure tastes, but if you happen to have some kind of stash of bluegrass and Celtic I'd be all over that. In general I'm a junkie for acoustic stuff, and fiddle, mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar, bodhran, tinwhistle, and bagpipes are things I love to hear.

Fic is always awesome, and I do need layouts/headers for

weetuskenraider and

laceycantlie's journals, and more icons for Tahiri (PB is Emilie de Ravin) would be shiny and good.

I wouldn't say no to paid time for any of my journals, but really, anything would be awesome. My weird mixed bag of fandoms includes those of any of the characters I play (so Corner Gas, Strangers in Paradise, Star Wars, Power Rangers, Battlestar Galactica) and other stuff like The Middleman, Young Wizards, Terry Moore's new Echo comic, Buffy/Angel, Charmed, Little Mosque on the Prairie, women's soccer (hush, it's totally a fandom) . . . all kinds of stuff. My RL LJ (http://rhi_silverflame.livejournal.com) should have a few more ideas scattered about.

3) A much more reasonable request of certain online goodies. Icons are always lovely, especially for

stocksgrrl. Layouts will probably make me gawk with glee until next Christmas. Same goes for mood themes (all except for Adah and Turtle, the latter of which got one as my AWESOME present last yeaaaar!). Fanmixes and fanfics of my fandoms and ESPECIALLY FH stuff is awesome and giggletastic. Userinfo banners? Yes please! Any other little treats you can think of? Sweeness!
4) To send you cookies (unless you're Elaine, in which case that is bad because they are very chocolatey cookies).
5) A snowblower for my drive way. Or an Oompa-Loompa to shovel it for me.

Dear Santa,

I've been a good girl and haven't blown anything up in 24 hours! And that was an accident. How was I supposed to know setting it on fire would do that?

But anyway, I love shinny things. Graphics/header for Marco or mun lj would be <3. I have a weird love of text icons. Happy fanfic is also always appreciated. I've been on the lookout for good Jenny (from the Doctor's Daughter) and Mickey in the alt verse fics. (Both from DW.) My other fandoms include Life, Heroes, Jossverse, Torchwood, anything I rp in, and uh, there's something else...eh. Movies? I like booms. BSG! BSG HOW DID I FORGET YOU?! And the ever lovely Dresden Files. And anything by Tanya Huff. FH and FH future fic also has a spot in my heart. (BTW? I <3 recs if you're not the fic writing sort.) I am easily distracted by tinsel.

Dear Secret Loverly Winterthing Person,

Thank you so much for being secret and loverly! For Winterthing this year, I would like Nicholas Brendon and Matt Austin to film a gay romantic comedy (with tasteful nude scenes) together. Matt can be bribed to star in such films via a free six-pack of Canadian beer, but Nick might be more of a challenge, admittedly.

Alternately, I like FH fic, I like pretty/weird/funny icons for my characters, and I adore musical fanmixes. Or, to be a line-stealer, surprise me!

For Christmas I would like it to snow! But since I reckon that's impossible, I would love anything that you'd find fun to make from one of my fandoms, or some musssssic. I lurve new music, and I like pretty much anything from old country to metal old and new to soundtracks to musicals to world (especially celtic and folk) to pop/punk/emo (Pink, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance etc) to 1980s.

My fandoms are lots and varied, but especially most Britcoms (particularly Black Books, The IT Crowd, Wallace & Gromit, Monty Python, The Fast Show), Doctor Who, Harriet Jones (hush, she is TOO a fandom), Lackey's Valdemar, Corner Gas, Charlaine Harris' Stookie Stackhouse, Simon R Green's Nightside, Robin McKinley, Naomi Novik, Fables, Fell by Warren Ellis, Sandman, the Mouse Guard, and I am also inordinately fond of mousies (the critter, not the computer peripheral), so I'm counting them as a fandom, too.

For Christmas, I would like world peace and tickets to an inaugural ball. But since that's probably a little outside your purview, I will gratefully accept icons (especially for

For Christmas, I'd like a pony and a plastic rocket. Barring that, I'd love more icons, especially for

notasuiciderisk (Eric's played by Connor Paolo). Layouts for

mistressofblack would be awesome, too! (I'm still pretty happy with the banner I made for Ronan, so feel free to ignore him!)

Music is awesome. :D I love pretty much everything but rap and country, although there are exceptions to that, so if it's something kind of awesome don't be afraid to include it. Fic is also great -- FH or FH-represented fandoms (Young Wizards, High School Musical, Final Fantasy X, Gossip Girl) would be awesome, or something from one of my other myriad fandoms (Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice, Heroes, Merlin, Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Shadow Unit, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers... And that's just the TV).

But mostly I want the pony and the plastic rocket. ;)
