Okay, I was curious, so I added up all the "comments received" totals.

1,834,548 comments of RP (I left out radio & ooc)

And that obviously doesn't include all of the RP in character journals.

... holy god. And that's without fh_trips, too, which would add 34,560 comments, or fh_dontblink, which would add 3,369. That nudges us up to 1,872,477.

The game is 1,411 days old, so that's an average of 1,327 comments per day.

Clearly, the person to post comment 2 million has to get a toaster. If we kept posting at the same rate it would happen in 97 days -- or right around Homecoming.

Adding: We could also throw in fandom_lounge (6,236), fandomassistant (5,096), and fh_alumni (14,088). Alumni is an odd case because it's also used for OOC organizing -- let's arbitrarily say it's a little over half RP (8,000 comments).

All of that together gets us to 1,891,809 -- and we might hit the 2 million mark by our birthday.

That's not as high as I expected it to be, but I did go through a period in late 2007/early 2008 where I didn't get to play a lot.

Looking at those stats, it's fairly obvious why some of those characters are no longer in game. Though I find it interesting that Claire has only been around a few months and is only about 1,500 comments behind Joan who has been here nearly a year.

Hahaha, true! And I'm actually under the max for on island characters (Ned, Hannibal, Loki, Fraser) but I've got a lot of alumni and I apparently just don't shut up.

It's weird because, IRL, I'm like DEATHLY shy (UM UNTIL I KNOW YOU) and my boys are apparently not.
