Student Council is for EVERYONE!
It's Student Council time! As your new Dean of Students (cue laughter), Barney will be in charge of StuCo in an advisory capacity. What we need now are some students for him to corrupt.
The Student Council will be comprised of 9 students total. 3 seniors, 3 juniors, 2 sophomore, and 1 freshman.
IC responsibilities for StuCo members include:

Since Parent's Weekend and Homecoming are going to be upon us sooner than we think (Oct 4th and 23rd respectively) the campaigns kick off now!
OOCly: If you want to throw your character's hat into the ring, fill out the appropriate thread below. This will also count as handwavily filling out the same form IC and giving it to Barney who has a mailbox as well as a booth at the Club Fair. This is the bare minimum requirement for getting your character's name on the ballot.
ICly: Campaign your little hearts out! Put up posters, give speeches, kiss babies, hand out buttons - whatever. You don't have to do this as part of the election. Just remember that you're asking to be elected to a job that requires more work IC and OOC, so campaigning might be a good way to show both yourself and everyone else that you've got the time to put in to the task.
Deadline for signup is 11:59pm Eastern, Tuesday, September 15th.
The day of the election will be Wenesday, September 16th.
Winners will be announced Thursday, September 17th.
The first StuCo meeting will be Friday, September 18th.

- Pinging into said meetings (they'll happen every other Friday, posted by yours truly)
- Volunteering for and actually putting up the posts for carnival, prom, etc.
- Coming up with ideas for fun events to do
- Organizing and implementing said fun events
- Coordinating with me to make sure we get admin permission for anything that needs admin permissioning

5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I work hard, and am dedicated to helping and representing others.

3) Previous experience: I was in the student council my sophomore year and I've been a library aide since my freshman year.
4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: School spirit weeks. (Funny hair day, dress in school colors day, etc.)
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I have previous experience on the council, and as someone who's been here since freshman year, I'm very familiar with the recurring needs and wants of the student body.

but then I was a mutant and people hated me. Tolerance is a very important lesson.

3) Previous experience (Fandom High StuCo, jobs, clubs, or experiences from before arriving in Fandom): previous StuCo member (junior and sophomore years), co-owner Turtle & Canary, associate with Cabot and Associates, president of Young Entrepreneurs, co-leader of Alpha Beta Gremin, member Girls with Guns, Reserves, and Support Services, various spots as Teacher's Assistant throughout three years at this school, also the youngest person to win a case in the state of Wisconsin.
4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: Finally getting that Handbook out! Off-island Car Wash to raise money! And have we ever even done a bake sale? If we haven't, WHY NOT?
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: Experience. Tenacity. Eagerness and intelligent. All these words should spring immediately to mind when the name T.R. Wexler comes up. As a student council representative, I will put everything I have into making sure that the student body is heard and accounted for in the decisions that move this school. And I have a lot to offer! I'm attentive and always put my best foot forward, and truly want to make every Fandom High Experience one to remember! It's true that the island manages to do that all on its own, but that doesn't mean Student Council can't help make it even better!

Two years' experience on FH student council. Employee of Pixie Dust for over a year. Manager of Pixie Dust for two months and it hasn't burned down yet.

I have a history of getting things done and coming up with creative ideas and solutions to problems. And let's face it, you could do a lot worse.

armiesclubs, command of the International Fleet, extensive experience with sports teams.4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: A Fandom student forum to further gauge the needs of the student population, to bounce ideas off our faculty. It might be educational - or it might end in a jello fight. Either way, it's constructive.
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I have a year's worth experience and a dedication to the job; I have a ready ear for anyone who has any problems.

So I understand how organizing entertainment happens! And I understand how to pass time! And I understand basic math!
4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: Lining the halls with trampolines to make getting from place to place more fun. Or maybe just a parade through town during the Homecoming Carnival. The trampolines would be more fun, though.
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: Because there's only a few freshmen to choose from and I'm the funniest among them. Also, I vow to continue to not wear a shirt!

3) Previous experience (Fandom High StuCo, jobs, clubs, or experiences from before arriving in Fandom): I was a member of StuCo my freshman year at BHHS and served on and supported the activities committee. I designed several costumes for the performing arts for various productions, not to mention decorations for dances throughout the year. I was involved in the Beauty Pageant fund raiser, held several bake fairs, and was a member of the Beverly Hills Country Club where I was able to co-host many school events for charitable organizations. I was also a member of the Dance Club and fitness club where my high kick was the best ever! Currently I am employed at Cabot and Associates.
List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: There should totally be a Tighty Whitey contest! Winner gets a brand new package of tighty whities and a secret something else! If there has never been a Spirit Week, there so should be, including Buy a Senior for a Day! Of course only the underclassmen could bid. Imagine a senior doing whatever you ordered them to do! BBQ's, Mixers, trips to the Cod. Omigod, that's more than one activity. Ooops.
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I believe it totally within my ability to keep the students engaged not only in school related extra-curricular activities, but also to like, help and keep them motivated in the educational process towards the single most important goal of achieving a high school diploma. I have a healthy, fun, positive attitude, and love to promote school spirit yay! I'm totally an awesome listener and will work to encourage every unfortunate soul here through positive planning to make Fandom High School the best experience ever, and totally funner than any other high school out there.

4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: Emergency response drills. (Think fire drill but with more running barefoot in your pajamas from the dorms to town hall.)
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I bring some modicum of security-consciousness to the group which plans major school events. Considering the frequency of attacks around the island this is non-trivial. Additionally I am extremely organized, which is an important asset when trying to plan events as complex as the ones at Fandom High tend to be.

4) List at least one idea for an activity that Student Council could do that it hasn't done before: Secret Santas. People are matched up during the holidays and they do something nice for their recipient.
5) Why should you be elected to Student Council?: I'm dedicated and hardworking and when I start something I don't stop until it's finished.
