reminders: graduation guests and senior plans!

Good morning, evening, afternoon or anything in between! Whatever time it is where you are, I hope it's treating you well! We've just got a few important reminders for you for this morning!

  • Graduation guests are due by TODAY, April 28. If you want family and friends to come to see your senior graduate, make sure you sign them up TODAY!
  • Senior plans are due by April 30th! Please let us know what your senior's going to be doing after they graduate!

And since sharing tiems is always fun, tell me players, what's the worst injury you've ever had? Because, seriously, we were all kids (or we're clumsy) and sharing war stories is always interesting. Me? Someone once dumped a bowl of scalding water on my thigh. HUGE second degree burn. Worst pain I have EVER FREAKING FELT IN MY LIFE.

I've broken an ankle, pinky, leg, sprained the other leg badly (which hurt a lot), and I swear gave myself a light concussion on a trip to Europe where I hit my head 22 times in 16 days, but all of that was pretty mild, especially compared to everyone else in here.

So instead I'll just share that I once cut pretty deeply into the back of my thumb with an X-Acto knife that I was holding in that same hand. There were witnesses to this. We have never figured out how this was physically possible.

Also, not to brag or anything, but it was a VERY clean cut.

Overhead bins and buses with doors that were lower than anticipated, mostly. A few of them really almost knocked me over. And, to be honest, I lost track of exactly how many times I hit my head. It was either 21 or 22, I honestly couldn't remember by that point.

The best part of the thumb injury? We got it cleaned (even though it just kept bleeding for a while) and tried to put bandages on it, but it's kind of an awkward spot, so the bandaids wouldn't stay on. So we went with gauze and drafting tape.

OKAY you and Ang are never allowed to (a) be alone together anywhere you could possibly hit your heads and (b) have children because THEY WOULD CLEARLY BE TOO CLUMSY.

Fortunately, I have cut down on the number of head injuries considerably since high school, so I think I'd probably be able to survive at this point. Ever since college, the Universe has seen fit to only give me wildly improbable or terribly ironic injuries.

Now, if Ang managed to go without any kind of head injury, yes, I would probably get one then. But it wouldn't be too serious, because that would take away from my ability to see the humor in it. Trust me, that is how my life works.
