Hotel Rooms for Parents Weekend

Don't let your parents get stuck sleeping on a park bench! If your Parents Weekend guests are not staying elsewhere on the island, be sure to reserve a room for them at the Arms Hotel.

For OCD purposes, guests staying at the Arms Hotel are assigned a room number (or suite name). While guest journals won't be making posts, it allows Fandom residents to visit guests in their hotel rooms (hopefully not dirty, but who knows around this place?).

Room Types
  • A standard hotel room with two beds and one very friendly price. Accommodates up to 4 people.

  • A junior suite with separate bedroom, kitchenette and balcony. Accommodates up to four people.

  • A specialty suite, larger than a junior suite but with some extra special amenities, but for each type of specialty suite, there's only one available.

    • The Comfy Room: Apparently Room 427 wasn't feeling special enough because sprouted fluffy down pillows all over the walls. Pluck off a pillow and another one grows back in its place.

    • Stripper Pole Suite: This suite features a state of the art sound system, full kitchen and minibar, separate bedroom with king-sized bed and mirrors on the ceiling, and balcony overlooking Serenity Cove. Oh, yeah, and the living room has pink walls and features a small stage with a stripper pole. Strippers are not provided by management, but Gunther may be able to help you out if you give him a tip.

    • Bridal Suite: Tastefully decorated in shades of ivory. Features a separate bedroom with king-sized bed, extra large shower with dual shower heads, and large heart-shaped tub with room for two.

    • Jello Dragon Suite: No, it's not really jello! It's just a really colorful mural on the wall commemorating the story of jello dragons that attacked the island, or at least what Mary was told. The kitchenette in this room seems to have a never-ending supply of fancy desserts.

    • Astronomy Suite: You don't have to wait for nightfall to go stargazing in this suite! The bedroom walls and ceiling features a mural of the evening sky, complete with constellations. Also has futuristic-looking furniture, like something off of a starship. There's also a gift basket of never-ending astronaut ice cream.

    • Champagne Suite: Has a large jacuzzi tub that fills with champagne. Extra bottles of bubbly available in the mini bar.

    • Presidential Suite: Includes two bedrooms with king-sized beds, balcony and ocean view, a living room large enough to fit a baby grand piano and large flat-screen TV, and a separate full kitchen and dining room. With the sofa bed in the living room, you can have up to 6 people staying there.

The Parents Weekend packages are good for Friday and Saturday nights. Check-in time is 3 PM on Friday and check-out time is noon on Sunday. Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional fee. The hotel will also store luggage for guests until their room is ready if anyone arrives early, so there's no need to miss any Friday events. An NPC concierge will be available in the lobby all weekend to hand out maps of the island and give suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Comment to this post using the form provided under the cut tag. It's one form per room, but you can sign up for multiple rooms in one comment. If there are multiple people who want the same suite, the almighty RNG will decide. I recommend that if you pick a specialty suite, you list two or three back-up options. Once the RNG makes its choices, an OOC list of room assignments will go up with the regular Arms Hotel post so your Parents Weekend guests can handwave their check-in and spend more time mingling or getting their brains broken. The deadline to be included in the RNG is Friday, October 1 at 10 AM PST. If you miss the deadline, go ahead and comment to this post to reserve an ordinary room.
