Why Does Indiana Not Sell Booze on Sundays?

Rhetorical question; sadly I've lived here long enough to know the answer.

In news you actually care about, the website is up, and it did turn out to be just a page-replace thing, so e-mail was never down. Everything's been restored from yesterday's backup, nothing's been lost because we haven't changed anything between then and now, and I need Tylenol and all the coffee.

2) As someone who's worked on a couple wineries in Indiana, I just have to say that your state's liquor laws suck and I hate them.

1.Ironically, if I had waited about two hours, our webhost would have fixed it all for us. (By doing the same thing I eventually figured out how to do, just on a global scale.) CURSE MY NEED TO COMPULSIVELY CHECK E-MAIL.

MA used to have a no booze sales on Sunday law until they realized everyone just drove over the border to New Hampshire to get their supplies. Economics trumped religious blue laws!

Sadly that's never worked in Indiana, despite the fact that people do the same thing along the borders.

Now, PA booze laws are weird. You can't buy beer or wine coolers at a liquor store (you can only get wine and hard liquor there). You have to buy beer by the case at a distribution center -- unless you can find a bar selling six packs (or, apparently, Wegmans, which can sell it by the bottle because they claim their deli area is a "restaurant"). I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT.

Didn't work in MN yet, either. Still no booze on Sunday, despite the fact it's 15 min to Wisconsin on a clear day to get all the cheese and alcohol we want, AND we can get illegal fireworks, too.

In West Virginia you can't buy liquor on Sundays until after 1 pm. I guess they're afraid of drunk people in church.
