On-Island Weekend Event: Daemons!

Ever feel like you've got a demon on your shoulder?

How about a dæmon? This weekend, everyone who wants to play along will wake up with their soul represented as a walking, talking, humanly-intelligent dæmon in animal form.

Although humans are physically separate from their dæmons, they are metaphysically connected and most human-dæmon pairs cannot bear to be distanced by more than several yards (it gets painful). Dæmons and their humans are usually not of the same gender, and the dæmons usually behave like they are independent of their humans.

"But how," you ask, "can I figure out my character's dæmon form?"

Fortunately, many other people have set up quizzes like this one, this one or this one. You can also choose an animal for yourself, of course. Dæmons also need names, which can be randomly generated over here.

The daemons, like AU kids, will be there when you wake up Saturday and disappear when you go to sleep Sunday night.

Questions, comments, logistical brainstorming to figure out how a horse is going to fit into a dorm room?

Quick question: are the dæmons going to be as weirded out by their sudden arrival as the characters they're attached to, like AU kids tend to be, or will they be all "well hey there, I'm a bit of your soul, THANKS FOR FINALLY NOTICING ME"?

I might be overthinking, la la la.

Not overthinking! It'll be more option 2 - they might be mysterious about what they are, but they won't be surprised to exist.
