MEME: Anonymous Love

This was last done in August and what with it being almost December and therefore almost whatever holiday you celebrate towards the end of the year, it seems about time to do it again! So here are the instructions as a refresher:

1. Make a comment to this post with the name of your character. (If you play more than one character, you can make a comment for each of them.)
2. Go through and leave anonymous comments in other characters' threads saying nice things about them. (About the character or how they're played, or even something you like about the player; any of this is acceptable as long as they're nice things.
3. Read the comments your characters get and feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Please don't say anything negative to anyone in this post. Meanface comments will be deleted. This is about making people feel good. Don't forget to keep checking in on the post throughout the day to give love to the to the new people that pinged in! Remember, if you ping in, please try and go around the meme and leave some love too. Seriously, folks. SPREAD ALL THE LOVE!

Anon commenting should be on, but if there's any trouble, hit me up at justonepersona [at] gmail [dot] com!

I love Yeul's quietness and serenity, her almost alien way of interacting with the world. You play it well, as an extension of her place in life and the terrible things that happen to her over and over again.

It makes her calming. And yet terrifyingly sad and disturbing once you stop and think about it. It makes threading with her interesting.

You and Natalie (and okay, Len and Nick too) are so bad for my attemts at staying away from SW:EU, seriously. You all make it look all interesting and inviting!

I really like watching Cade integrating himself into Fandom's social circles, with the other space boys as well as his contemporary world roommate. He seems like a character with staying power, and I'm glad for that.

I am totally not up on what's going on with your characters at the moment, but they've always been some of my favorites to follow and interact with. We need to start being around at the same time again!

NEVER STOP MAKING ME LAUGH.

She's so terrifyingly GLaDOS. I look forward to her everything. Radio, pings, posts...

Love the dry wit, the three legged doggie, and her ambition to do nothing! So true to the show! Well done!

Re: Luke Castellan

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Forever thankful that you brought Luke into the game, because you gave him so much more heart than canon ever did, to the point where it definitely affected my own experience with the book, for the better. And I like watching him deal with being post heroic death with nothing as grand to work towards anymore. It makes him all the more human.

omg, has her radio been fun to read. Ilu for being brave enough to play a psychotic puzzle-making robot.

Possibly my favorite character in all the game. She's just wonderful. I can't say enough good things about her.

This girl is pretty awesome- For all that she's serene and calming, there are just layers upon layers to her that set her so thoroughly out of her element in any reality but her own. It's fascinating to watch her try to come to terms with the fact that she doesn't really understand the people around her any better than they're in a position to understand her.

Re: Sparkle

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It is very, very hard not to love Sparkle, the messed-up, prickly, stubborn, laughing, fiercely loyal ball of himself that he is. He's a joy, and I hope you'll keep playing him for a long time.

Re: Natalie V. Adams

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't feel right writing a comment for Natalie in an anon love meme without talking to her (meta powers and all), so here's what I have to say to you, Nat: I have never walked away from a thread with you while feeling anything less than humbled by how brilliant and stubborn you are. You're one of the more interesting characters we've got here, no matter how little you may care for whether your peers know much about you, and I have always loved reading your interactions with the people you feel comfortable showing more than surface-level of yourself to. Thanks for being amazing (and good job to your player, too).

He's such a little shit and that's what makes him brilliant. There's always the want of making a bitchy character a little softer but you never have and for that, I salute you. Peter's the perfect guy you love to hate.

Re: Jaina Solo

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I will forever be impressed by the amount of canon plot and crazy time moving-ness (I have all the words, clearly. You know what I mean, right?) you have managed to pull Jaina through. That is some kind of organization right there.

Re: Jackson Whittemore

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
To quote a character from another of your canon's: What a perfect asshole.

And that, my friend, is why Jackson is awesome. Because he is an asshole and that's why we love him.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeul intrigues me, which is never not a good thing. She's sweet, but seems to have a lot of quiet maturity behind it. I like the way you handle that. I don't know the canon but to me, you write her beautifully.

Re: Kaidan Alenko

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
My first time playing Kaidan's canon, I missed so much- different missions and side-missions, a few important choices I would've liked to do differently, and most importantly, properly appreciating the characters who make it such a strong game. People like Kaidan, who I've come around to realize through your portayal of him in Fandom is a sensitive, feels-driven soldier who tries to philosophize about the war he's fighting so it feels right to him even as he fights it. As a result, I've now gone back and played the games again, even romanced him, and it's become clear to me that you play him in a true-to-form yet somehow eye-opening way. His grief here over Shepard and Ash especially reads spot-on to me from that snippet of him on Horizon and what he must have been going through then. I often want to give him hugs, so I'm thrilled to see that he's found himself a group of friends who can help him cope.

Re: Eric Northman

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Eric ♥. I'm never getting tired of reading him interacting with just about anyone: humans, werewolves, other vampires. You have a good grasp on his voice and especially his sense of humor. Love it.

Re: Electroclash / Sarah

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm constantly struck by how I need to play off Sarah more- not just because she reads like someone who would really get along with a few of my kids, but also because of how witty and prickly and yet bizarrely sincere she seems to be. She's the kind of friend I'd like for myself, but I almost feel like my characters could benefit from her more, so that works out nicely.

Re: Topher Brink

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Topher. I just wanna shake my head at him and then he goes and makes me laugh and then he's weirdly adorable! He's a multi faceted guy but I do love that he's never really not been a jackass either. He'll be cute and then WHAM right back to being his Topher self. Love that.

Re: Cade

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
My character (and I) love Cade. He's different from the other SW characters you've had and different from the other SW characters on island. He's funny and gruff and funny some more and I just really like him, okay.

Re: Tyrion Lannister

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I really love your take on Tyrion. He has such a true-to-canon feel to his voice and in the way he's written.

The way you play Sparks has me reaching new levels of impressedness in how complex and unabashedly themselves you allow your characters to be. He doesn't compromise himself under any circumstances and I enjoy that about him.
