Secret Santa!

Hello, all! Welcome to almost-December! In almost-December, we prepare for actual-December by signing up for gift exchanges! Yay!


To participate, all you have to do is sign up in the appropriate thread of this post by Wednesday, December 5th, and then you'll be assigned a person for whom to Secret Santa it up! Then, on Friday, December 21st, another post will go up for people to share the gifts they put together and make everyone awww and squeal around with warm fuzzies.

So what could your wish list look like, you may ask? What a great question that no one actually asked me! Here is a sample wish list made by meeee:

Hi, Secret Santa!

I'm so glad you've decided to participate this year, and thank you in advance for this. I'm not picky and I'm sure to like whatever you put together, but here's a list of things I'd especially love this year:

• Icons! Max and Alec could especially use some pretty icons.
• Fic! I love love love reading fic about my characters.
• Fanmixes! Self-explanatory, really. Who doesn't like getting new music?
• Mood themes! Not a single one of my kids already has a mood theme, so go to town, seriously. :)
• Account things! I'd never pass up more paid time or icon space.

So that's that! If you sign up, you can expect to receive an email on December 6th with a link to the wish list of the person you're assigned to. Naturally, you don't have to get everything on the list, and if you're inspired to get something that's not on there but you think the person would really love, go for it! Just please remember that you're putting together a gift for someone who's putting in effort to make a gift too, and it's nice to spread the love and warm fuzzies so that everyone is happy!

Dear Santa,

I have been good okay not terrible reasonably pleasant, all things considered, this year! Thank you for participating, and I promise to love anything you put together for me. That said, if you want suggestions, here's a few:

--Music of any kind! Since I've had children, my iTunes has lain stagnant. I like just about anything, and if you think it's cool or if you think it reminds you of my characters in anyway, bonus for me!
--Icons! Cade doesn't have nearly enough for as pretty a person as Paul Walker is, and I haven't had time to really search them out.
--Fic! I love to see how other people interpret the characters I love so much!
--Mood icons! I have no idea where to even look for these any more, so I end up using the lame LJ ones.
--Finally, paid time is always, always appreciated, but not necessary!

Dear Santa,

HI. I have not been good at all this year. But I have been a lot of fun and that's almost the same. Thanks for getting me anyway (because you had control over that!) and because I know I'm hard to shop for, here's a list of things I like!

• Music! Anything! Also, weirdly, I have a strong addiction to standup comedy/spoken word stuff. I take a lot of roadtrips, so it's great.
  
• Icons! Laurie especially -- Busy Philipps is weirdly not nearly as iconned as she should be, and almost never as Laurie. Tragic.
  
• Fic is super-fun, always always!
  
• And paid time is always great, but so not necessary!

Hi! I have been ... you know, let's not talk about who was or wasn't good this year. Sounds like it'd just be messy.

I will love whatever you get me, so no pressure. But if you want some ideas:

• Icons! Lizzie especially, since Ashley Clements hasn't been in much else and I've only found one icon post for her, ever, from back in June (http://spock.insanejournal.com/77417.html). Also, people seemed to stop iconing The Borgias during S2, so any s2 icons of Lucrezia would be amazing.


• Fic! Send my characters on epic adventures. Or not-so-epic adventures. I'd love to see whatever you feel like creating.


• Music! Bonus points for fanmixes or music that reminds you of my characters, but even just music you love would be awesome.


• Paid time, which I add in case that's the easiest/best option on your end. Please do not feel the need to spend money on me, Santa.

I've been as good as I needed to be this year, and isn't that enough? I am incredibly excited by whatever you get together for me, but if you want to be really super-nice it could be:
-- Music! I am so far behind on new music it is not funny. I'll listen to about anything, though my collection is heavily weighted with alternative and folk. And I have a serious weak spot for show tunes, shhhh.
-- Fic! About anything or anybody, it's always fun.
-- Moodthemes! I'm sure someone somewhere has done a Runaways or a Tyler Posey one, but I have no idea where to look.
-- I don't really need paid time, but I'd love extra icon space for Tara or Jack if you're inclined to spend money.

So! Things I adore!

♬ Icons! Ghani could especially use some pretty icons.
♬ Fanmixes! Music in general, really, and I love pretty much anything that's not 'bitches and hos'-style rap or hip-hop
♬ Surreal needs a mood theme! The ugly-LJ themes kinda suck.
♬ I'd never pass up more paid time or icon space, especially Ghani, who just lapsed.
♬ Ficbits! Give me your headcanon!

I've been so good this year! Really. Mostly? Anyway, I very much appreciate your participation this year!

Here are a few suggestions, though I'm good with whatever you want to give me. :D

-Music! Fanmixes for my characters or their canons are awesome. Or any music you think I'd like. Music in general is always a good thing. I love hearing new things!
-Fic! Could be canon, FH-related, AU, crossovers...anything. Or maybe links to some good fic (PLL especially).
-Icons! This is kind of a lower priority right now because I already have a ton, but I'll never ever turn away pretty shiny things!
-Headers! If you'd feel so inclined.
-Paid time, though this is not necessary. If this is the best option, I could always use more icon space.

I've been ....reasonab;y decent this year, and I'm very easy to please. Some things I like are...

• Musics! I am always looking for new music, whether it's fanmixy or just in general.
• Fic! I love reading fic about my characters.
• Art! I'm pretty good wrt icons for my lot, but that doesn't mean I don't like seeing new pretties. For I am shallow.
• Account stuff. All my on-island accounts are paid up for the moment, so paid time or extra icon spaces aren't really necessary, but appreciated if you go that way.
