New Townie! Please give a warm Fandom welcome to our first new townie of 2014, Atticus O'Sullivan (crazy_prepared) from The Iron Druid!

Newbie Shuttle! New students, new shuttles! And old copypasta! 'Tis time again for the newbie shuttle!

Our local (for relative value of local) airport (BWI) has a Portalocity (interdimensional travel service) port and lounge. Students can arrive by either plane or portal and gather in the lounge until a bus from Fandom shows up to take them to the island. This is completely optional; your new characters are still welcome to arrive on the island in any manner you choose.

What we need: One new student character to put up the post and OCD, and at least one teacher or adult to drive the bus and greet the students. Traumatizing them before they reach the island is optional. The post should be made Friday night (January 3rd) sometime between 4pm-6pm Eastern, but be set for Saturday morning (before the picnic).

Newly arriving students are welcome to join the post and get to know a few of their fellow newbies before actually getting to the island. New teachers are welcome to grab a lift as well. Check out the link above if you want to read previous newbie shuttle posts.

It's a very Fandom welcome! As we all know, Fandom is snarky, somewhat surprisingly British, and also occasionally on fire.

Now we just need a newbie to post and we're set!

There's still a bit of time between now and Friday, but if we're in dire straits for someone to actually make the post come Friday afternoon, I can have Elsa tack it up, too. My Friday evening is pretty much free.

As an added note, the timezonely-challenged among the newbies would probably appreciate a posting time that's closer to 4pm EST, but anything between 4pm-6pm is fine.
