Hello, Fandom!
You might have noticed some strange activity on the island over the past week. There's a simple explanation for that: something is ripping holes in the multiverse, and now time and space is starting to bleed over into itself in the general Fandom Island area, past and present.
Well, a certain definition of 'simple explanation', anyway.
This is a condition that will be worsening over the next few months, but you'll hear more about that in February and March! As it stands, there's a couple of things you need to know - and you get to play with - throughout January.

This is a condition that will be worsening over the next few months, but you'll hear more about that in February and March! As it stands, there's a couple of things you need to know - and you get to play with - throughout January.
- First of all, strange objects, sound and images will keep appearing, as posted by the admins. This will vary from the small blips you've seen so far to much grander, if short-lived, visions of different Fandom Islands.
- Second of all, you get to mod your own strange blips! Within reason, of course. Snatches of mundane NPC conversation from previous eras of Fandom ("How's the weather?" "Fish."), brief glimpses of flying cars, a fish that suddenly appears, then disappears, in your bathtub. Visual glimpses can be solid or not; they can be picked up but not otherwise manipulated, and they always vanish after a few minutes to a few hours. We do ask that you keep these things small.
- Third of all, there's one area in which you can be specific: Fandom's past and the past of the characters on it. From January 20th onwards, you'll be able to overhear old conversations that took place over the past couple of years, or spot glimpses of another character's past-- faces, words, objects. Just make sure you have the permission of the players involved at all times.
- The character whose personal, off-island history is popping up needs to be present and involved in the thread. However, if it concerns on-island history, then all you need is the original players' consent.
- This works as such: Atton walks into a dorm common room. Suddenly he spots Dolf Wega and Cally on the sofa, talking quietly. He blinks, and they're gone! I'd have to ask my own (heh) and MP's permission to make this happen.
- Another example: Liara and Karolina are talking. Suddenly, they hear Liara's mother saying "It's time for bed, Little Wing." Looking around, however, they see nothing. Corazon would need my permission for this thread.
- Basically: keep them brief, obtain consent, have fun!

Just one question, then: "You'll be able to overhear old conversations that took place over the past couple of years." I love this like burning, but how far back is 'the past couple of years' meant to be? Is there a cutoff date of any sort? Can we wander back to the game's inception for this?
