Meme: Canon Displacement

We haven't done this one since last September and work seems to be giving me a break today so... MEME!

Start a thread with the name of your character.

Under that, others can ping in with the name of one of their own characters, and it's then the thread-starter's job to describe where that second character would fit into their own character's canon. So if I were to ping in with Barry, and Noah gave me Joker, it would be my job to come up with how Joker might fit in if he were a character in Barry's canon. For example, I might say he's fills the role of Jeremy who swears just as much as Barry but acts as Barry's moral compass.

This is probably an easy one because the profession is right there for her, but Bo.

Having not seen Lost Girl? I'm actually seeing her kind of Saffron's role. Though with less greedy tendencies.

And yeah, Companion would be an easy pick given Bo's succubus nature but I'm trying to think outside the box here.

I'm going to go with Barry in Korra's world.

Hmm, Barry would probably be one of the non-Bending industrial/tech innovators in the vein of Varrick, though whether he'd set himself up as a rival to him or be the guy who made his crazier ideas work is up for debate.

In any case, Tenzin would be very, very un-Zen after his kids learnt a whole new vocabulary from him.

Woo. :D

Annnnd I'm going to have to see where Barry would fit in with the Mass Effect canon.

Oh, with Barry's brains there'd be only two places where he could be: 1) in an Alliance lab-slash-training grounds like Grissom Academy, where he'd start off putting his brain to use to cracking stuff like Mass Effect tech - then the Reapers come in and he gets shipped off to work on the Crucible. Or 2) (possibly consistent with 1) he'd be working with Cerberus under the presumption that he's doing experiments for the sake of Science and inventing cool stuff until he finds out they're, uh, using a lot of that stuff to turn their underlings into cyborg creatures and OH BEING AN XENOPHOBIC TERRORIST GROUP. Then he'd get outta dodge. He'd probably feel some guilt if some of his inventions got used at Sanctuary, though...

Yeah, you know, I can see that. Saffron's greedy side is more Kenzi than Bo, but Bo's very much the "use every trick she has to try and make her way in the world" type.

Jayne would be a mercenary earth pony who travels across Equestria doing Bad Things for bits. This being a children's show, this would mostly involve saying mean things and borrowing other pony's things without asking, but would occasionally involve working for Queen Chrysalis and helping kidnap Ponyville's mayor and tying her up in a cave and things. He carries a gun which can fire whatever he happens across along the ground (rocks or fallen fruit, mostly -- sorry, Jayne, no bullets in this show) at relatively low speeds, and has his own focus episode in which the Mane 6 catch up with him and teach him a Very Important Lesson about being nice to other ponies even when they don't have a lot of money.

His cutie mark is his gun, natch. Rarity would make him a cunning hat as a reward for learning about friendship at the end of the episode.

I am way less familiar with Barry's canon, so this is whipped up just by what he's done in Fandom:

Barry would be taken for a mutant by the government because of his intelligence. Not that they would have any ability to capture and hold him, because, you know, he's smarter than all of their agents combined, but they would track his movements and efforts right up until the point when Shaw's mutant army comes by to slaughter the whole secret mutant branch. Xavier doesn't find him, because, you know, he's NOT a mutant, just super ridiculously smart, but Barry finds HIM instead and ends up working with Hank on improvements to Cerebro and his other inventions, because it's just such a relief to be around someone who comes close to matching his intelligence.

He'd never inject himself with an untested serum that turned him into a blue fuzzy monster, though. Or at least, after he did it, he'd have a cure cooked up right quick.

Raven!

Another easy one for you: Eliot.

And somewhat harder: Pinkie!

Well if I'm going with the Fandom version of Raven, she'd probably fit in to the Roxie role where she's a mutant instead of a Sasquatch. She'd hang out with Barry and they'd commiserate their outsider roles in the world while they hide their abilities.

If we're going with Raven's more villainous nature, she would probably be the person he has a throw down fight with in that specific issue.

Yeah. Eliot would probably be a former Alliance operative who went off the grid and now fights the good fight. WITH HIS FISTS.

And Pinkie... Dear God.

Okay. Pinkie would be one of those side show attractions that Kaylee realizes is a sentient being. She convinces Mal to rescue her and then Pinkie and Kaylee spread cheer and glitter to the entire universe.

Right, so I have a new cross-fandom OTP. . . .
