And We're Off Again!
Hey folks! This Friday, Fandom will be shifting away from Candyworld--sugar highs are only fun for so long before they get kind of painful. Continuing its search for a safe place to stay, Fandom will end up above the shining seas of Azeroth, the world from the Warcraft universe. Since Fandom is trying to be safe, the causeway will lead to Stormwind, the most prominent human city left in the world. The causeway will spit Fandomites out at the harbor, where they can head into the city to explore, shop, and probably get into trouble because hi, we've met you guys.
Some of the highlights of the city include:
- The Cathedral of Light: the religious center of Stormwind, good for quiet moments of contemplation, or praying for forgiveness.
- The Blue Recluse Inn: the tavern in the mage district, which means upscale food, fine drinks, and lots of people in fancy robes.
- The Pig and Whistle Tavern: the tavern all the city guards go to, which means bad food, good beer, and no fighting unless you want one of these guys on top of you.
- The Golden Keg: the dwarven tavern, which means good food, fantastic beer, and at least one drunken bar fight per night.
- The Brawler's Guild: hidden underneath the Dwarven District via the Deeprun Tram. Imagine Fight Club if the fights sometimes involved exotic things to fight. We probably shouldn't have mentioned this one.
- The Stockade: aka prison. Please don't end up in there, unless you want to be recruited for the Defias Brotherhood gang.
There's also plenty of stores selling clothing, armor, weapons, and yes, more drinks if the taverns haven't satisfied you. If you somehow get bored with the sights of Stormwind, the guards will be happy to direct you to the tram to the dwarven city of Ironforge, or back to the harbor to take a boat to the elven city of Darnassus. Beyond that, well, your safety can't be guaranteed.
Any questions? Comments? Complaints of anti-Horde bias will be fed to the giant dinosaur.
