 I'm not sure whether this quiet day means no one is actually around, in which case this will also be a very quiet meme. I'm sleepy today and want distraction from falling asleep.

This was most recently posted last October, by me. I post far too many memes nowadays.

Ping your character in and people will offer up a pairing with that character, which is used to answer the meme questions. Feel free to answer with single words, though explanations and examples are always fun. Then other people can chime in with how they see that pairing work. Any pairing goes: friends, NPCs, canon love, canon hate, canon indifference, roommates/housemates, and if-Hell-froze-over-and-these-two-characters-got-together, go crazy! Don't forget to check back in throughout the day and see who else has pinged in!

Who cooks normally? The chicken. Usually the natural way.

How often do they fight? Very, very often. Especially around a certain time. No, not that kind. Pre-broody season.

What do they do when they're away from each other? Philomena teaches class. The chicken poops on everything and eats all the newspapers.

Nicknames for each other? "Chicken" and "puh-duh-tuhduh?"

What do they get each other for gifts? Eggs. Yeah, both of them.

Who flirts more? The chicken. Philomena doesn't understand how.

Do they act different in public and at home? Not really. Down to the toilet habits.

What are little gestures they do for each other? The chicken lays eggs. Philomena fills the water bowl.

Who kills the spiders? The chicken, duh.

Who is "the dominant one" (for however you want to define that)? It's always the one that rides on top, isn't it? Chicken likes shoulders.

Who is the cuddler? Neither. Chicken by default and Philomena by training.

What annoying habit does one have that the other hates? Leaving crumbs everywhere. Strangely enough, chicken loves that about Philomena, though.

What do they do to make the other one jealous? They don't really compute.

What do they do that embarrasses the other one? That little weird growly noise that chicken makes every now and again. That one.

What did they nearly break up over? Ran out of corn chips.

What is "their song"? That one.

How do they handle holidays? Egg dinner.

Who uses all the hot water in the morning?: Anders, probably. Dante doesn't care quite as much; he runs hot anyway.

What they order from take out?: Pizza. Occasionally Dante picks something else to let Anders off the hook.

What is the most trivial thing they fight over?: Which reality show's better.

Who does most of the cleaning?: ... Kathy?

Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?: Whoever thinks of doing it first.

Who steals the blankets?: Anders. Definitely Anders.

What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure? Dante insists on terrible cooking shows. Anders wants to laugh at stuff. They settle for Worst Cooks in America.

Who kissed who first? They don't remember and neither do I.

What would they do if the other one was hurt? They're a lot better at kicking ass than fussing, 's all I'm gonna say.

What do they get each other for gifts? Silly stuff. Ridiculous stuff. This year Dante got Anders the biggest cat tower he could find. It's shaped like an actual castle tower.

Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Dante. He has money now.

How do they celebrate anniversaries? By forgetting them and having a good time anyway.

What do they name their pet(s)? Well, they named the cat they got together 'Messere Blondie Fuzzybutt', which should tell you all.

On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank? Pretty tolerable, if you can deal with outrageous pun-flirting.

This may be the first time I've filled in this meme for this guy where I know most of the answers by experience, not guesswork.

What they order from take out?: Whatever Ada wants, and she explains the flavors and textures to Peridot.
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?: The concept of time, and some mermaids having even less time than most humans.
Who does most of the cleaning?: Peridot, so that she has a good workspace.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat's not working?: Ada, since SOME GEMS don't notice they turned the heat off.
Who steals the blankets?: Ada
What is their late-night-viewing guilty pleasure? Neither one understands this concept of 'guilt.'
Who kissed who first? Ada kissed 'Dot just to see what would happen.
What would they do if the other one was hurt? Get even
What do they get each other for gifts? Tools, shiny trinkets, Ada makes Peridot lovely bows and hats from pretty things.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? No one pays with Ada Miller.
How do they celebrate anniversaries? Working on engines
What do they name their pet(s)? There is an extremely contrary cat that hangs around but refuses to come inside or take food from them. Ada calls it "Lucille."
On a scale from tolerable to sickeningly adorable in public, where do they rank? Cute in a "You two are kinda odd, aren't you?" way.
