BDE info: Cocktail list and powers!

The portal to cocktail magic land has been opened, which means that cocktails can now officially start giving you powers! Here's a helpful guide as to what does what:

VODKA
physical effects (strength, speed, etc)

Screwdriver — super-strength
(1 part vodka, 2 parts oj)

White Russian — walking on air
(5 parts vodka, 2 parts coffee liqueur, 3 parts fresh cream)

WHISKEY
Mental effects (telepathy, telekinesis, etc)

Irish coffee — cause hallucinations
(3 parts whiskey, 6 parts coffee, 1 part cream)

Old fashioned — telekinesis
(whiskey, bitters, sugar, and orange peel)

Gold rush (whiskey sour) — read minds
(8 parts whiskey, 4 parts honey syrup, 3 parts lemon juice)

RUM
elemental effects (controlling fire, water, etc)

Mojito — water manipulation (including phase state changes)
(3 parts white rum, 1 part lime juice, soda water, sugar, mint)

Mai Tai — fire generation and control
(3 parts white rum, 1 part curacao, ogreat syrup, lime juice, 1 part dark rum floated on top, pineapple garnish)

Planter's punch — lightning generation and control
(4 parts dark rum, 3 parts pineapple juice, 3 parts orange juice, 1 part lime juice, grenadine, simple syrup, bitters)

GIN
transformation effects (self-transformation)

Martini — invisibility
(4 parts gin, 1 part dry vermouth, 1 olive)

Tom collins — breathe underwater
(3 parts gin, 2 parts lemon juice, 4 parts carbonated water, 1 part sugar syrup)

Negroni — bulletproof skin
(1 part gin, 1 part sweet vermouth, 1 part campari, orange peel garnish)

Gimlet — turns drinker into animate liquid
(4 parts gin, 1 part lime juice, 1 part simple syrup)

TEQUILA
projected effects (force fields, mind-walking, etc)

Tequila slammer — create and control force fields
(1 part tequila, 1 part lemon-lime/other light colored soda)

Chimayó — astral projection
(6 parts tequila, 4 parts apple cider, 1 part lemon juice, 1 part creme de cassis)

SYNTHAHOL
wild card!

Any cocktail! — Dealer's choice/random power, but not the same power twice in a row

Any cocktail not on this list you can make up your own effect (using the general guidelines of which liquor does what kind of thing). If you want to submit it here, I'll add it to the list (recipe not required) so other people can use it too!

NOTE: Long island iced teas won't give you powers. In canon it's basically the philosopher's stone; too many alcohols to keep in balance, so it'll just fizzle out on you.

Okay, I have a belated question! As someone who's a big fan of champagne cocktails, would these also have an effect? Or is it only spirits?

Also, re: tremens getting hurt, the read-up says they're only harmed by cocktail induced powers, right? So really, rum and a screwdriver are the only ones ATM that could conceivably be used to combat them when saving someone? Or are they frightened off by anything more conventional?

The powers come from cocktails made from spirits, correct. Though if you wanted to make the champagne cocktail with syntheholic champagne, I'm totally willing to give that to you!

The tremens can be harmed by ANY of the cocktail powers -- though the ones that aren't clearly physical take a little more creativity. Using a weapon while invisible will allow that weapon to harm the tremens, for instance. A tremens can be driven off by non-cocktail magical means, but it'll take some effort, for instance Raven driving off the one attacking Kathy by getting a bunch of alots to stampede on it.

So, for example, Amaya's big crusher thing would probably work to drive off a tremens long enough to escape, but would only injure/kill the tremens if the person driving(?) it was in some way using a cocktail based magic power.

Does that help?

It does, thank you! (I am drinking right now myself, which I'll claim is to just get me in the mood for the BDE, but we all know better, so, yeah). I was mostly wondering about champagne because Rosa's also got a secret soft spot for Bellinis, but shhh.

Edit: But just to be absolutely 100% sure I don't screw it up, if someone were to have, say, mind reading abilities from a Gold Rush, they can still harm a tremen through non-mind-reading means?

Faaaaaaaair question. I would say that the mind reading should probably be at least a LITTLE involved. Like, you get the drop on the tremens because you read its intentions. Or mind reading helps you coordinate with someone else who is also fighting the tremens with cocktail powers.
