RANDOM EVENT: Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Because you I people, okay, PEOPLE might need a wee distraction on Tuesday for reasons, we are having a new random event as suggested by onefootoutthedoor: Video Game Glitch Day!

On Tuesday your characters may experience/witness any or all of the following glitches:

• characters randomly disappearing in middle of conversations, or only partially being there
  
• NPCs randomly on top of buildings/in classes where they don't belong
  
• characters walking through each other, Kitty Pryde-style
  
• characters falling into small holes and inexplicably unable to get out of them
  
• when a character tries to sit down, they find themselves standing on the chair/sofa/etc instead
  
• livestock randomly manifests out of nowhere
  
• animals randomly go invisible or turn into deformed stick figures for a few moments
  
• people getting stuck in walls, debris, etc
  
• objects, animals and people making the wrong noises (pigs singing like a bird, etc)
  
• NPCs become fascinated by something on the other side of a wall, leading to a pile-up (Tino, Tiny and Fosse walking endlessly up against a Caritas wall, for instance)
  
• people's heads becoming much bigger or much smaller than they should be
  
• people will stop talking mid-sentence and then just stand there, staring at you for a while
  
• conversations you cannot get out of until they have run their natural course, even though a gremlin and a squirrel just spawned behind you and started fighting and exploding things.
  
• small animals will report you to the police.

I also feel the need to contribute my own stupidly glitchy game for potential glorious points of inspiration.

And I'd also like to add that, since 50% of my characters are from video games, this pleases me greatly, I have more canon examples than I could ever possibly use.

Their track record with SWTOR is pretty great, too. My favourite of all time will always be SWTOR Companions in their underwear.

Originally it started with just logging in one day to find all of their clothes in your inventory and they'd all be naked when you summoned them. And THEN they would just stand around naked in your stronghold when you placed them there.

NOW it's gotten so that occasionally you'll have companions you don't even have just showing up randomly to hang out in your home in the nude, too. I've had many an unimpressed Vette just standing around with her arms crossed over her chest in a stronghold she has no business being in.
