Non-Denominational Winter-Holiday-Representative Gift Exchange - Swap List!
NOTE: DW screwed up and did not send me an email for one of the entries. I have re-done the table to incorporate them. Please check, some pairs have changed.
The clock strikes midnight. It is now December 8th.
A host of owls flies silently through the dark. They carry small scrolls to a select group across the island. When the owls reach their destinations the scrolls are released. Crossing barriers and borders, the scolls insert themselves in places where they cannot be missed or overlooked by the person whose name is on the outside. Inside: A different name, address, and a note:
“Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make or purchase a gift valued at a maximum of $20 USD Earth Standard and deliver it to the name and address above without your identity being discovered.
Should your identity be discovered, or should you choose not to accept this mission, a penalty or forfeit will be forthcoming.
Gift: Noun. A thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.
Gifts should be items that will engender positive feelings in the recipient.
Gifts set to provoke negative feelings will also incur a penalty.
You have until midnight, December 25th, to deliver your gift.
Good luck. This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds.”
The message dissolves into glitter and leaves behind only the memory of the name and address.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~{OOC INFO}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Forfeit: Receiving a name and openly refusing to participate: You get followed around by your own personal cloud of snow. Indoors, outdoors, doesn’t matter. Wherever you go, the cloud follows and snows on you. If you change your mind and participate, the cloud disappears.
Penalty for being discovered: As though someone had a giant container of snow and upended it over your head. Same for anyone who attempts to send negative gifts.
