ooc: PORGS

We interrupt this regularly scheduled Parents Weekend to announce that as of today, I have given you porgs as part of the Fandom wildlife.

You're welcome, I love you too.

If you're unfamiliar with Star Wars or at least haven't seen the Last Jedi, porgs are basically space puffins. (Literally, they CGIed puffins into not being puffins because there were too many at the filming location.) There are a few there right now, and will multiply because what's the fun in only having a few porgs? They'll mostly be hanging out around the water (the rocky bits, Selkie Cove, the beach, etc) but can make their way to other parts of the island, keeping in mind they don't fly long distances. They are curious and adorable and may steal shiny things from you because they like shiny things.

Before you ask, here are answers to two questions:

Q: Can I have a porg as a pet?

A: Technically yes, but let's keep them outdoors for now. You can't get more porgs if one's in your dorm room. Also they're wild animals, etc.

Q: Can I eat a porg?

A: Also technically yes, you human monster.

Anyway, have fun with them!

There will never be another real-world origin story for a made-up creature as good as that of the porgs, omg.
