Meme: Answer for an answer

I'm having a cleaning and laundry day and I'm tired from allergies. That's a good reason for a meme. We haven't done this one since December last year.

Tag your character in. Other characters will then comment asking them embarrassingly personal questions, but there's a catch. What's the best thing about being mayor of this island?

Is seems like we agreed on the AU kids being one of the best weird things happening here. If you actually had a kid here, how do you think you would feel about it?

If you were to stay more permanently in the apartment, is there anything you would like to change? Or something you would like to change now that you're not telling me?

That you're stuck-up and would have a lot more fun if you just sort of let go. I do feel like you can probably get stuff done when you decide to be all authoritative about it, which is a leg up on me since mostly I yell at people and nothing ever changes. You are also not bad-looking.

That you can be really annoying and that I would probably find it frustrating to spend a lot of time around you, but that you're also fun, and I enjoy that. You also have nice legs.

Thrilled. And terrified of doing it wrong and not being good enough for them. But I don't think it will ever happen here.

You said you didn't know this latest child's other parent. Who would you want a child to keep with?

I do sometimes miss the thrill of the game that went with the flirtations and pushing the boundaries of your charming obliviousness, but I can hardly complain about where we've ended up. It's made being here much more tolerable and enjoyable and even inspires me a little about what else might be possible here.

It definitely makes being here not all that bad at all, even if I'll admit that it's far from my ideal situation.

And the your apartment is unquestionably better than Groovy Tunes's basement.

And obviously, I have to just turn the question back at you: how do you feel about how things have developed?

You are not doing that cat any favors by indulging her the way you do, so a bit more discipline and less spoiling would be paramount.

Besides that, the accommodations are perfectly suitable and I can't think of much else that would need to be adjusted in the event that I was here a bit more...permanently.

Believe me. The conditions of my living situation would be the very least of my concerns if that were the case.

Is there anything about sharing your apartment with me that you find annoying or less than desirable?

A sense of certainty about the future and that I'm not just going to fuck everything up in the end. Because I am really happy right now and the fear that it's not only temporary but also going to crash and burn spectacularly is the literal worst.

Like, I'll be fine, sure, but it would suuuuuck.

Also, I miss having a big, important Purpose to keep me going. I miss feeling useful for something bigger than myself, bigger than this island.

So...what happens if Breq really does decide she doesn't need you anymore?

I can't think of anyone, and I might decide to have a child on my own. Breq might reluctantly and up being an aunt, she's very good with children, but I don't think she would ever decide to be a parent herself.

I actually can't think of anything. I enjoy your company, the food I eat has improved considerably, and I even cook some of it myself.

I considered Prompto showing up might be annoying, but actually he's not that bad.

Sadly, I might just break down and go back to what I was like before.

On the other hand, she has never said that she actually needs me, and I have told her she won't get rid of me. So maybe I would just cling harder until she pushes me off a bridge.

So actually, Imma gonna go ahead and hijack this thread to ask:

How would you feel about having two temporary roommates? ~~no reason~~!!

I am a bot embarrassed that I failed to see what was happening before. It has also led me to question the nature of a close friendship I have before. I do appreciate it though, even if a happy romance, even temporarily so, was never what I expected. The physical part is very enjoyable.

I am aware that if you could you would choose to go home, and that me coming with you might not suit either of us. Loss is a part of life, after all.

I might initially look a little uncomfortable with the situation, but I will appreciate the company.

As long as no one hurts the cat or stop me from watching Radchaai entertainments.
